I never understand the people who said this remaster isn't worth. flora is so mush dense, softer shadows, better colors which was screen a bit too red before. and the best one is subsurface scattering and skin shading which is amazing.

Same. I was halfway through my first playthrough when this was announced, I put the game on hold in anticipation of the uplift. It did not dissapoint, it was a huge upgrade.

I'm so thankful that they remastered Zero Dawn. After finishing Forbidden West the first time, my first thought was how fucking awesome it'd be if they remastered the first game..and they did it. Currently playing through the first game

More often than not I preferred the not so saturated Remaster. I don't know how else to put it. Enviro lighting looks better on the Remaster except for sunsets which is unique to FW and accurate over ZH.

Some, but in general Forbidden West still looks more impressive. I am playing these two games back to back, gotta say the remastered is definitely the way to play Zero Dawn from now on.

The difference here is still Night and Day. Zero Dawn feels over saturated at times while Forbidden West feels a lot more realistic visually while still injecting a bit of color to it.

I mean is there a button in the option that allows us to choose wich version we want to play with ? Or if we buy this upgrade there is no way back to the original ? :)

Think there is, not 100% sure tho, but you can chose to play either ps4 or remastered verison, atleast it has for other games that got remastered.

you don't pay attention then. we have softer shadows, more balanced colors which was more red before remaster. and the best part is subsurface scattering. and thanks to that skin shading and plants looks so much better now.

You might be misunderstanding something here. This isn't a comparison between the original and the remaster, this is a comparison between the remaster and the sequel. And the goal for the remaster was to bring it up to the same visual quality as the sequel.

@@jasonashley9853 It’s down to personal preference. Forbidden West Aloy looks more realistic than Zero Dawn Aloy. Also, the original Aloy looked dead to me in many dialogues.

man the BS dlc should be called Burning performance. i am on 4050 and the main game in High settings with DLSS and frame gen are above 60-70 FPS even in lush forrests and ruins. made me think how optimised the game was. but dang as soon as i hit BS i was struggling to maintain 40-50 and sttutter is so bad in DLC. offcourse in the fall's end. rest of the area runs better. i havent even played horus mission and i dnt know what the heck will happen. but the remaster even on very high settings is buttery smooth. so i dnt know whats wrong with BS. saw guys with 3080 struggling in that coz bad stutter. they need to optimise BS a lot. maybe they didnt optimise it more than the main game. without frame gen wouldnt be able to play it at all thats for sure

I agree. Forbidden West performance tanks the moment you go into the dlc and Nixxes never fixed it.

@@Elknkam well they should fix it. coz their is no way ps5 graphic card is faster than a 3080. i am sure it would be faster than 4050 and i am sure its heavily optimised for PS5. but i think they already had the PC port in mind this while guerrilla was making this game. so they should definitely fix BS performance. i mean just think about it, if i am getting 60-70FPS in daunt, desert and even in lush forrests, heck even during the start of the game which btw the area is stupidly detailed i shouldnt be getting 40-30 in the BS unless BS is a remaster of HFW lol.

@@AliKhan-ib4ft ps5 is a single optimised sku, thats the difference, the shaders are programmed for the spec. a 4050 is weak af wtf can you expect, it runs fine on my 3080 so its probs comp stutter or pc being pc
