I have tl say, this is the first time next gen graphics have REALLY impressed me. Don't get me wrong, games are looking really good now, but holy crap this game really does look amazing, art direction is on point.

Hi Nick, I‘m a really big fan of yours and think have watched all of your documentaries. I‘m also a big fan of the game dying light. Knowing that techlabd originally developed dead island and dropped dead island 2 wouldn’t it be nice to have a documentary of dead island 1 and riptide (there are also 8 spin offs or so but i don’t know how relevant) and on dying light 1,2 and dead island 2. It would be so cool to see that. There surely is a lot to talk about since all of these games have somewhat revolutionized the zombi genre

the burning shores felt boring compare to the base game but the fight with the stormbird and the final boss made it up for it the final boss was amazing

Did you play it on Very Hard? My advice is speed run the story on ultra hard, get a few good weapons begin Burning Shores and speed run the story. After quickly move to NG+ in Ultra Hard. Once you are in Ultra Hard Speedrun the story of through the DLC then work on getting 100% and upgrading every weapon which won't be an easy task but it makes the game much more enjoyable and rewarding plus UH makes you have to use all the different things they've given you such as valor surges, food, smoke bombs, traps, and different weapon types depending on what elements the machines you are facing are weak to. Another thing I'd highly recommend to anyone is playing the game in VH or UH with melee only. You can use warrior bows to hit the areas you left the resonator blast on. Now that we have the new way to grapple the machines and the new Quin outfits that are fantastic for melee only builds I highly recommend playing melee only. I am planning to do a UH 100% using melee only most the way through. There will be things I do that aren't with melee such as taking down storm birds/fire claws and some of the hunting grounds/ arena challenges that I can't do using melee only but for most the game I am going to try and do melee only using the Quen Commander outfit. I will probably allow myself to occasionally use traps, rope/bolt casters and shredder gauntlets just to keep myself from getting to bored of using melee only but during the main story and most side quests/errands my plan is to play using melee only unless it's impossible to do so. I can't wait to see all the different challenges and ways people play now that we have the new valor surges, weapons, outfits and combat changes. Oh another thing I recommend is playing with the speech volume all the way down, skip all cut scenes and skip through the talking it makes the game much faster paced and enjoyable to play since you don't have to hear Aloy and instead you get to hear the music, animals, weather and the machines. Also Aloy sucks in this game she's worse then a stuck up teenager who believes she's better then everyone else.. not having to hear her at all makes the game much more enjoyable. ☺️

Aloy and Seyka's relationship is rushed and feels very forced. They always talk about diversity and inclusivity, but where the heck was that inclusivity in the DLC. They just forced us to accept this poorly written and horribly executed queer relationship without even giving us the option of having a straight one. There are many people who could be a very good match for Aloy and are already well established in the franchise such as Erend, Kotalo or especially Avad to name a few and not a random person she has never met and only in one DLC meets. In that case, where the heck is your precious gender diversity? And then you complain about the people who point out this nonsense and are immediately called homophobic just because they refuse to accept a forced queer relationship without being given a direct alternative. They're just trying desperately to force this LGBTQ agenda on us. Anyone who disagrees is immediately homophobic. They rob us of the ability to express our free opinions on Metacritic simply because it doesn't conform to their imposed agenda. I recommend you replay the section of Horizon Forbidden West where she meets Avad again and try the heart option, paying attention to what Aloys says to him and what her facial and body expressions are like at that moment. She felt flattered by him throughout the conversation, not disgusted, as many misinterpret. But now they act like nothing happened between them, even though that's completely wrong. She obviously had feelings for him but all of a sudden she became a lesbian. If that doesn't make it clear what kind of propaganda they shoved into it, then I don't know what does. There isn't even an option to opt out her. It doesn't matter what you choose. No options ruled out Aloy not wanting to be with her. With the brain, she's just saying she's not ready yet. With the fist that she has no place for this relationship at the moment because of her mission to save the world. But what they all have in common is that if the circumstances were more appropriate, Aloy would certainly get into a relationship with her. Either when the world is saved or she is emotionally ready for it. So now it's canon that she's a lesbian, and everything that went before between her and Avad was completely ignored by the developers just to push through there imposed agenda. If it wasn't so, the developers should at least have offered the option to kiss Avad as well, since the two have known each other since the very first game and have been through hell together. But no, she just has to be a lesbian without ifs and buts, regardless of whether it fits or not

Everytime i see romance in games like these i hope there like, Fable/Mass Effect/etc. where you have multiple choices. In the tribal nature of the games setting and world building, i always find relationships like that unlikely or unsustainable. I'd rather Aloy find a partner to eventually have children with and train them to hunt like she was. You know, let the gamer craft their own adventure because doing it natively like that just brakes the worldbuilding for most.

As a player who paid and played the game on PS4 Pro , I'm very disappointed and frustrated that the developer decided to ignore all players like me! Their engine run fine even on PS4 Pro.

More like you ignored the fact that your console simply doesn't have the processing power to allow the developers to fully visualize a world they've envisioned. They already had to cut a lot of corners to allow the base game to run on last-gen consoles.

Check comparisons between PS4 pro and PS5 of the game and you'll see that "my" console as you call it has really good performance and not huge differences in graphics! I can understand that they wanted to go all graphics for PS5 but that does not mean that they couldn't do it for PS4 Pro. They needed more time and work and simply they didn't want to do it! I can accept it only if the game was for next consoles only since from the launch.
