That explains why I shot the canon off of two storm birds and scratched my head in confusion because I didn’t see the part anywhere. Must have flown off really far.

For real, this thing went flying. I've heard some players use concentration mode w their bow to slow down the camera so they can see where the part flies off to.

I just gave up. tried with your exact setup about 15 times and nothing drops. Yes, I searched but the part just gets destroyed.. And the blackbox thing only gives you the canon one time. Want more? gotta fight. Its just plain stupid and impossible. I just said: fuck it.

that sounds so irritating. I haven't played in a while so idk how much I can help. it sounds like your regular damage is somehow higher than the tear dmg. Does your armor give you dmg increase? (can't remember if that's a thing or not)

It's easier to just avoid shooting the cannon and bring down the whole bird with plasma damage. Then just loot it off the dead bird. I kept losing them when I shot them off until I realized this.

If I am remembering correctly, isn't that an item that is "destroyed upon death" ? Unless they changed it since I last played, I don't think you can loot it off the dead body.

This is BS gameplay mechanics. We can easily find all the thrusters the were dropped, but somehow the only part that flies away is THE one part that we need.
