Thanks! It's a beauty. She's SUPER fun to take landings with, and the mains are SUPER forgiving too! They literally bend out and then bend right back into place!!! The foam is soft enough on the mains that it just bends right along with the aluminum ;)

Hi Brian,Thanks soooooooooooooo much for the tip on the 150% for the flaps, works GREAT! I also removed the wheel pants and put 3.25 low bounce DuBro on rear and 3 inch DuBro up front and shes awesome!!! Thanks again!!!
@BrianPhillipsRC7 жыл бұрын
Thanks George! She does roll out more than I expect...so the extra drag from the lower flaps help. I kinda wish I could get them down even farther, or maybe I could make a couple main wheel breaks??? That's a good idea for low bounce wheels! Have you bent your mains horribly yet? I had one pointed upside down yesterday - LOL! Let's just say I was being very mean to the plane ;) P.S. I bent the wheel back down in about 1 minute, with no tools!

Brian. Are you using 150% flaps for both take off and landing?
@BrianPhillipsRC7 жыл бұрын
no, I use takeoff flaps (about 1/4 to 1/2 depending on the wing type), and I can't remember the exact settings....I do have that in the build video if you want to know for sure. When I land, I use landing flaps (the "full" deployment). This plane is a really nice plane too! Good value, good looks, great features...I only had to add ONE basic feature (a tail light), and then it's just all enjoyment time!!!

Love the pinochio reference of his nose, why do they make such a gorgeous plane and no thought on the pilot, also have a back seat with luggage.
@BrianPhillipsRC7 жыл бұрын
Totally agree! Also, why no maybe run the servo cables BELOW the luggage area??? I think the servo extension cables would have had to be a little bit longer, and they'd then have a lot more labor to tie up the excess to keep them from getting caught up in the throws of the rudder and elevator, but the Luggage could hide all that stuff, I suppose.

OHH yeah I see a lot of SR22T vids coming up,I ended up getting a little super cub s along with my wildcat and have gone cub crazy!One major thing I like about these your vids is the fact that I dont hear (this is a bad plane) etc... the pilot skills are there and that gives me more to consider when you describe how some of these models fly.If my sport cub s flew fast enough I would rob my duet servo if possible and throw the flaps to it.2 views and one thumbs down would piss me off too HATERS
@BrianPhillipsRC7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I appreciate the comment and really glad you're enjoying the flying! P.S. Check out some of my UMX videos!!! (Check out the playlists on my channel - sorted by plane) I'm pretty sure there's a spare channel on the Sport Cub S UMX brick...so you should be able to plug in a UMX servo...you gotta just plug it into one of two positions and then see which one brings the servo to life, then play with the upper channels on your radio until it starts moving! Go for it!!!

Thanks Jan! As for low power on the Cirrus SR22T 1.2m...I love it, and haven't ever felt it was lacking in power...I wonder if you have a bad one?!??! Maybe a bad lipo? Hi Brian just a couple of questions, have you thought about spraying your EPO models with an acrylic lacquer to preserve the finish? also would the Spektrum AS3X RX work with any 2.4ghz TX ? Many thanks.
@BrianPhillipsRC7 жыл бұрын
I've used Polyacrylic for my A330-600. Here's a link... Part 1 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZi3f4iJq6qLa7s Part 2 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5jTdaSghqmfpdk ...It does works well, but not necessary most of the time, in my personal experience. The Spektrum receivers are NOT going to work on any 2.4ghz receivers. They will only work with DSM2 and DSMX transmitters. Yes, several of the other brands, including el cheapo brands, use 2.4ghz, but they find and maintain their connections in a different way, thus they won't work. You might be able to hack them, but I haven't seen anything on how to do it, and I suppose you probably would be hard pressed to have success doing it.

I would love Cirrus my only concern would be the electrical wing connections and how reliable they would be if you had to remove at least one wing to transport the plane as I would have to do unless I start dropping the rear seats on my estate car..... I have a 1.3m Valiant and that just goes across the rear seats through the side door so I would either have to start dropping my rear seats or remove one wing every time..... from all the reports, videos and pictures though it looks like a really nice plane and love the lights.... thanks for the video's..
@BrianPhillipsRC6 жыл бұрын
It is kinda big. I've found that when you get past about 1.2 m, they start really getting harder to transport assembled. I CAN do it, but only one or two at a time, whereas I can get maybe 5-6 1.2m planes into our 2011 Chevy Traverse

I don't film aerial videos. If I wanted to use the footage for "commercial use", I'd have to get a 107 exception from the FAA. Lots of people do it, and lots of people get away with it, but if my channel has the success I hope for, I'll want to avoid any future lawsuits and/or criminal charges from the Federal Aviation Administration. If you are a lawyer, or know of one, who wants to work for free, I'd consider speaking with them to get a legal opinion.
