@@smaller_cathedrals Its 2024 and people still dont know the difference between Remakes and Remasters lmao. Both Resident Evil and TLOU were Remakes. RDR PC is not even a remaster, its the same as the PS game with uncapped fps. Just look at Marvel's Spiderman PS4 and PS5 versions or TLOU2 PS4 and PS5 versions. They are remasters and are practically the same game with higher frames and some lighting changes.

The remaster did almost everything better but i still prefer the color grading of the original. There’s a certain filter over the remaster that irks me. Also i hate that Aloys hair has more color in the original. In the remaster it looks more brunette than ginger and she is the girl with fire for hair!!

I don't think people have appreciated how much new lighting techniques really make things feel cohesive. After watching the comparison it's almost completely night and day, in the remaster everything actually feels like it's truly connected together whereas the old (still great) feels very video gamey.

From artistic perspective, I think the original looks better. The remaster smothers everything with haze and realistic lighting, flattening the image in the process (the cohesiveness you mentioned). Takes away the otherworldy fairtale-like quality of the original.

Honestly I thought this was going to be a useless remaster, and a lot of people have complained about it .. but after watching this video, it’s simply beautiful. I love this game so much and for 10 extra dollars it’s definitely worth it for who already has the game.

In that comparison, yes the rain looked better in the original, but I suspect that it wasn't a 1:1 of weather conditions. There were just different densities and intensities of storms playing out. I'm pretty sure the remastered's rain looks just as good under the exact same conditions.

What I don't like with the remaster is the red grass is too red and the green grass is too green depending on the lighting. The remaster looks like the color setting on your TV is cranked way up. That's on the PC versions. On the PS5 is different because the original is really a PS4 game so the enhancement is across the board an improvement like the Forbidden West Burning Shores expansion that only runs on the PS5. That said, I prefer the original PC version. Also, the original PC version has the option to have a wider field of view, which can be seen on video "Horizon Zero Dawn - In Widest FOV".

Nope. Look at the last indoor shot at the end of the video to debunk that theory. On the PlayStation 4 version they used brightness to help bring out a certain areas of indoor and outdoor environments. To where lighting wasn't really even being used, they just rendered it in a much brighter tone. The remaster has a real time dynamic lighting system that can even change depending on the angle you're approaching a source of light. It stands out much more when you're actually playing the game as well

to be honest... The original visual color is relatively natural, the gamma value is moderate, the color contrast of objects and character decorations is relatively light, there is a light source effect, and then a relatively dense water mist appears~ This makes the game look more three-dimensional on a 2D flat monitor! So...do I need to spend $9 to upgrade? This depends on the player's personal preference. 😗

@@ЕвгенийТеплов-з1ь А я как раз и не хотел перепроходить игру, в осноном иза чересчур дубовых анимаций персонажей во время диалогов (из которых состоит пол игры) по сравнению со второй частью. А теперь вот прохожу ремастер с большим удовольствием и кайфую! Серьёзно, как по мне, графика в ремастере вышла на ноый уровень и игра ощущается по другому (в лучшую сторону). Так что хорошие ремастеры никогда лишними не будут!
