Honestly I was so on the fence about a remaster, it seemed unnecessary but seeing this I am floored. They have made the visuals, cutscenes, and mainly the interaction with characters so much better. Really excited to replay it!

Fair enough if it's a game that came out in the early days of the PS4/Xbox One days, but there's no need to remaster games that came out pretty recently just on the last gen consoles. When it comes to Playstation. Wouldn't it not be better to have a free PS5 upgrade available for certain games instead of remastering & releasing them as a new game?

I started playing on release in 2017 the original of course and in 2024 I’m about 6 hours in no joke 😂. I only realised this year you can scan the enemies weak spots 🤦🏻‍♂️ and only just found out you can slow down time with an upgrade 🤣. I know one day I might finish and play the sequel by 2030.

I wouldn't say that it's bad timing on the release date...Probably a matter of preference as there are no games coming out that I'm interested in till next March and I don't see any huge releases the rest of this year. It's not like this was released the same day as FF7 Rebirth or something. If I was interested in the Horizon Remaster I would buy it as nothing else is out so the timing for release is just fine....

​@@TG-Maverick22Fast travel was available in the original always. You could find fast travel packs, or craft them and you used up one pack each time you fast traveled. When you reached Meridian, there was a level 2 merchant that sold a gold fast travel pack that enabled you to fast travel infinitely as long as you had the campfires unlocked. It's the same in the remaster.

In that case, go change your glasses guys, I've played the original 3 times and got over 100 hours in it, I can see the difference at every step quite easily. The original looks a lot different in-game. Refresh your memory and take a closer look at both versions on YT
