I played through HZD earlier this year for the first time on PC. I did a pretty basic run through for the most part, not using as many of the weapons and other things at my disposal. I plan on trying more weapon types and so on this time. I'm not really much of a tactical player, more of a storyline player, though I do get distracted with side quests...

No. I have about 500 hours total playing between PC and PS4/5. And I have about 350+ in Horizon Forbidden West between PS5 and PC.

question though: can i pop all trophies if i do a ng+ using an old lvl 60 non-ng+ save file? like trophies for reaching certain levels and getting yhe shield weaver armor, since i already reached that level or got the armor? since i read there are no trophy auto-pop in hzd remastered

Here's a tip you may not know. Harvest arrows ability to increase resource yields from knocked off components is not limited to "living" machines. You can defeat a machine, then use harvest arrows on it at your leisure.

Second playthrough at the moment and I've never even used harvest arrows. Saw them today and I'm like I wonder what these do. Great tip with using them on already downed machines.

Ok so I’ve just started this game for the first time a couple days ago and watched a few videos. You are the only one who has actually said about what to sell. I mean it’s probably pretty self explanatory but as an RPG player I’m always nervous about selling the wrong things, so I appreciate that point in your video 😅.

One tip I wish I knew is if you have room to keep them save all the machine hearts, there is a vendor that buys them exclusively for more shards

This is my THIRD RESTART of HZD. I love the game, but I end up trailing off and another great game comes out….ADHD brain. But, I’m hitting this run hard with determination to beat it and this guide has helped a TON. Thanks, NorZZa❤

Not sure why people constantly recommend Lure as an early game pickup. Throwing a rock does literally the same thing and doesnt cost a skill point...

You can always screw up the rock throw by accident and lure more than the one monster you were aiming for. While lure does indeed cost a skill point, it at least guarantees success to lure only the monster you want which is easier for new players

Lure will pull a single target. Good for over ride

heard that this animation skip for picking up items is only in remastered version, i have complete version and there is no such option (but i managed to find a mod that does the same on nexusmods)

Why waste a point on lure call? Just throw a rock at your feet, and it has the same effect.

Lure is just not important at all. Just throw a stone right in front of you and it does the exact same thing. Invest the 3rd skill point rather in Critical Strike or Gatherer.

Best Tip PS4 allows you to Backup your game saves PS5 doesn't btw All the improvements made to Horizon Zero Dawn could run on PS4 you know just like Forbidden west

Brought the complete edition 2 days ago on the ps4. Installed it onto the ps5 started playing and now the remastered version is out shouldn't I be able to upgrade that for $10 dollars? Or am I missing something? The game is at full price. $75 dollars as I'm in Australia hmmm can anyone help please

Have you tried clicking on the “Add-ons” option in the menu when you hover over your Horizon Zero Dawn complete edition copy? The $10 upgrade option appeared to me that way. You must also have the disc inside your PS5 too when you select the upgrade for $10 (if you got the disc of your HZD CE for PS4 version).

@justalilbleu nothing worked for 24 hrs lol so I just un installed the original game then put it back in the ps5 and finally the $15 dollar upgrade popped up lol 15 bucks as I'm in Australia

PC doesn't have anywhere near that many options and doesn't have the pickup animation off option that sucks. I beat this on PS4 years ago and started playing several weeks back on PC not knowing the remastered option was coming. Annoying we don't have these options

Trophies didn't auto pop for me, I believe there is a new PS5 trophy list.

​@@norzza - great I was hoping for no auto pop. I want to do use 6th run through as my new game plus 7th play through. I think the level trophies won't pop since I am level 60 with Ghost levels. So I might have to do a off stream through just to pop those trophies. Everything should pop as I stream

I disagree with getting "Lure" skill. You can do that by throwing a rock at your feet or very close by.

I keep meaning to go back to this game. I never did get very far. Not sure the remaster is really worth it though. Edit: I just looked at some comparisons. While I don't like the overall lighter aesthetic (I appreciate games that aren't afraid to use proper darkness) on the whole it does look a lot better, might be worth.

There IS a performance penalty, if you have good gear then no problem...
