I have an urgent question, are horizontal and vertical common size analysis prepared for the cash flow statement?
@TheFinanceStoryteller Жыл бұрын
I guess you could do that as well, but in the cash flow statement there are more lines that "change sign" between the years (go from a negative number to a positive number, or the other way around). On the total level (CFOA, CFIA, CFFA), or on relatively stable large line items like the add-back of depreciation, or CapEx spending, it may make sense to do a horizontal analysis, but on the line item level it starts to get very tricky when you compare for example the current year change in inventory (in itself a comparison between two balance sheet points) to the prior year change in inventory. Not sure you will get much meaningful data out of it.

for a YoY %, you can also use the formula: (Year2/Year1)-1
