I just did two railblazza rod holders and they serve two purposes. One is horizontal storage and the other is for trolling. Since the railblaza can lock your reel into the holder it’s some peace of mind.

I use two of these paddle holders on the left side forward track to hold my YakGear floating stake out pole that I shortened to 4’-10”. The foam grip fits perfectly in the aft holder and the pole is secure yet easy to grab.

so do you need 4 of the YakAttack RotoGrip Paddle Holders if you want 2 rods horizontally mounted? thanks
@PartyOnGardy7 ай бұрын
oh haha I thought your boat nose was flipped my bad. Was wondering how the rods sit on the end without the paddle holders? would another paddle holder be a good idea wo keep the tip of the rod more stable?
@KayakFishingAddict7 ай бұрын
I only use 1 per rod.
@KayakFishingAddict7 ай бұрын
I don't think you'd need it. The tips of the rods usually rest against other tools I have in the front, like my fish grips, or just lay there without too much motion.

@@KayakFishingAddict i ordered 4 and its actually super nice to have the rod ends secure at the front of the boat. I recommend it:)

How can I get the link to the H rails that you switched out on the back of the outback? Would like to purchase, but can't find them, thanx
The only thing that secures the rod down is the strap near the reel. I don't secure the front near the rod tip at all. If I wanted too I could use the bungees on the front of the kayak to do that but I don't bother.

Hello, but what happens on this month you was missing??

We had ~3 weeks of cold weather and it took a while for the fish to return.

Love your channek ill suscribe.. Can i use the h rail in front and just turn the rods the opposite way ?
@KayakFishingAddict2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Joel, I'm glad you enjoy it. Nothing prevents you from doing that, though the rods may angle outward just a bit in the back and it may be a little challenging to put them in the holders.

Great content. I pick up last year the Hobie Lynx’s. Love it. Been adding all my gadgets. Any thoughts if h rail rod rack on outside of rail would work with the cords or a leash ? I have two yak attack omega on back rails and on on my right to hold while adjusting lure but want few rods horizontally any thoughts. Thanks mike
@KayakFishingAddict2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mike. I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos. The Hobie Lynx is cool, but it confuses me. I do hope that in the future they provide a solution for cable routing. I’m sure you can add Hobie’s hrail rod rack to it but the issue will be how close to the water will the rods actually be? I’m not sure how much clearance the Hobie Lynx long hrail gives you above the deck. But either way, it won’t give you any protection from splashing water so I’d be careful in saltwater with baitcasters in that situation. You might be able to get away with the solution I show sitting atop the h-rail with the rod stored on the inside of the other hrail accessories.
