What do you say to landlords or people who minimize the existence of mold in the home with the response “mold is everywhere” ? I like the part where she said outside, mold has things that keep it in check: sunlight, critters and animals that drink the water. We don’t have those things indoors or in the walls so mold grows unchecked. Any other thoughts? I’m so sick of hearing that uneducated response, I need something scientific to shut them down.

So many stores and “new” items are contaminated with mold and mycotoxins nowadays where I’m at. I’m not sure if it’s from the manufacturers, shipping containers, warehouses, retailer, etc. I’ve moved 6+ times and have had to replace practically everything due to my hypersensitivity to various molds and their byproducts. It’s been a nightmare’s nightmare for too long.

Omg! Could this be why I’ve been ill for a year and a half? Been put on 23 different meds with no infinite diagnosis. Hormone replacement medication, stomach meds, respiratory meds, anxiety meds, neuropathy meds, allergy meds, headaches, inflammation, joint pain, weakness, low liver enzymes, frequent infections, skin conditions, digestive issues, excessive bile…etc. just found mold coming out of closet wall. Pets have been sick too. Spent over a thousand dollars on my dog for skin infections and joint problems…2 cats have respiratory issues…I’m terrified. Been referred to rheumatologist, ENT, and Allergist but haven’t been seen yet…takes forever to get in.

It may be one of the factors. Either way, it's essential to clean up mold in the home or move. Living in a moldy home has many implications on our health.
