Cheers buddy , me too , hope I can get them to perform, just haven’t seen that many videos here on KZbin where people have really posted much of their results, Gavin from Gavintoobe tried the 135g in a bolt action style AR and he was really pleased with them and another chap on the channel X-RING he tried the 153g and thought they were good but the guy from Bolt Action Reloading didn’t do to well out of his rifle , so I thought I may as well give them a go myself, at least it gives me something to do...lol 😁

Im looking for a a bullet for the 47 , mainly for Deer .I did think Berger vld hunting or stick with 130 Tmk ? I have some solid brass Lehigh controlled chaos 95gr just not got round to trying them.
@GianniG555 жыл бұрын
To be honest all those bullets are good and will do the job , I only wanted to try these because I was curious if I could get something slightly bigger than the 130s just to see if they would perform in my rifle , so weather I get these to shoot or not the expense of them doesn’t really appeal to me, don’t get me wrong they are really well made but £100 or a 100 bullets is not worth it to me unless I was a serious comp shooter then maybe but not for just for recreational shooting.

Wow too pricey for me hope they shoot well .
@GianniG555 жыл бұрын
Yeah they are way to pricey especially for us in the Uk but in the states they are going for between $65-$85 a box which is more reasonable, so we are definitely getting shafted , but I will try my best to get them to shoot .

@@GianniG55 indeed pressure signs are bad news
@GianniG555 жыл бұрын
Chris 338 yeah definitely that’s why I’m hoping the charge weights from 37.6-38.4 is enough to keep pressure down hopefully I may get lucky, but I shall take my time and just be observant and go from there .

Hey GG, I see premium bullets, premium cases, premium weight, but maybe to keep the premium line U need in-line seating with arbor press to have 0.001" mid lenght bullet concetricity. Its very important in how angle bullet is going inside lands to have best gyroscopis stability in flight. I am using 21st hydraulic arbor press with wilson seater. Its less than 0.001" with concetricity but no magic is that you have set the seater stem for best concetricity (rotate it seating bullet and measuring concetricity). keep going nice shootin. T

tango svk hi and thank you for the comment and checking out the video, since making the video I have bought a Forster Co-Ax press so will see how that measures up if everything ok then great but if when seating the bullet it doesn’t give me what I want then I we’ll indeed look at the arbor press , thank you all the best G.👍

@@GianniG55 try that whidden seater die with more positions of seating stem inside seating sleeve, mark it at top, seat the bullet measure concentricity, than rotate stem from 12 position to 3, then from 3 to 6 etc.

look at the test of willson seating stem here

as you see, willson is in-line but there is a tread, at stem, so there is a space for little concentricity issues, but you can play with it, I tried two stems, one was better, every die is unique

Just seen the price of these ! Wow ! Be good to see how they fly , looking forward to that . 👍👍👍👍👍
@GianniG555 жыл бұрын
Yeah they are quite a bit more expensive here in the UK which is totally unfair, but I wanted to give them a go anyway so will see if I can get them to shoot cheers buddy 😁👍

O man that whidden die looks top notch! I want one now. Is there a benefit in going with a arbor press setup? Using the same reamers that chambered my rifle and blank dies?
@GianniG555 жыл бұрын
Hey Kenny, I don’t really know the answer to that question in all honesty , when I started out I just bought the Redding big Boss as I had heard it was well made and a robust press, and then my brother gave me that cheap Lee press and I haven’t used anything else , as for the Whidden seater die I like it so far , on my .223 rounds I use the Redding die on the Redding press to full length resize and the Redding seater on that little cheap Lee press and runout is really tiny, but using the Whidden full length bushing die on the Redding press I think maybe is giving me a tiny bit more runout or at least I think it’s that, or it could be the seater I’m not sure , so unless I am missing something in my reloading I would like to get to the bottom of it , I do think that custom chambers and Sammi spec dies is a bit tricky if you ask me .

Who’s priming tool is that? I’ve seen it before but cannot for the life of me remember the maker. Edit: it pains me to see the bench flexing while seating. Any thoughts on maybe reinforcing that a bit?
@GianniG555 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, the priming tool is from 21st-century expensive but I do love it, as for the bench flexing i do see what you mean , it is a chunky table top but I have not tried a piece of steel between the press and the top though that might help I’m not sure but also I’ve found that it hasn’t really affected or contributed to bullet runout , thank you for bringing that to my attention Jim cheers G👍
