30 feet, nice shooting. For those that can I think it’s important to test your carry / self defense ammo. At the range I have seen guns that have issues / malfunctions with some self defense ammo. The range is where you want to discover that. Also a fan of Gun Sam, great info there as well.

I use critical defense in my 45acp. I always got good accuracy from it. Enjoyed this comparison between your 3 snubbies.

In my Ruger SP101 I added Hogue grips to get more purchase on the gun. With magnum rounds, the change of the grip really helped me. Every hand is unique for sure. I have settled on +p ammo for it now. I worked up a load the gun and myself likes. I do shoot the gun regularly. With components scarce, some of my other guns are being "rested" more. The shooting now is only what I carry, be it the Ruger, or the G43X. (economizing). Hornady does make good ammo. The shots were all acceptable. If you have the extra ammo, sure, practice with the Ruger some. Good video!

The WWB 110gr says, "Personal Protection" right on the box! Product code Q4204 if you can find it. Not as cheap as it used to be. But it does come in a box of 50. I haven't tried it side by side with the Critical Defense. You always know you are shooting a magnum no matter how much hearing protection you've got on!

Good video my friend. I have never seen a case in Texas where the choice of ammunition between.38 and.357 was ever an issue. However, I understand that thinking.

I've primarily used Hornady Critical defense. With my .38 Airweights and my .38 SP101, it was 110 or 110+p. As for my various .357's (J and N frame), I carried CD 125 grain, Federal 140 grain, and sometimes 110+p, or Federal 120+p. Presently with my Rhino, I've been using CD 110+p, but will probably switch back to 125 grain as soon as I buy more. Either way, great shooting at 30 feet, Greg. I'll stick to closer defensive distances. Haha😂

Thanks for doing this! My best 357 in my snubs 640 and 360 is gold dot 135gr short barrel low recoil. Hard to find. I have been carrying 38spl+p cor bon DPX (I tested it and worked great) also got Buffalo bore 38spl +p 110 gr barnes copper ammo works great hotter round. I just bought lcrx 327 fed magnum, going to shoot and test ammo for 1st time tomorrow. If I like lcrx I can see a 357 lcrx next purchase, also want a Ruger sp101.
