Very nice video, great instructions on how to set up the bullet feeder die. Much better than trying to figure out the instructions from Hornady. Thank you for making this video

Cmax Arms I am not sure if you come here to read all the comments or not. First of all thank you so much for your video. It got my 9 mm all set up to rock and roll. You or anyone else can get a very good 3d printed case feeder for $110. It works like a charm and very easy to set up too. Again thank you for getting another fellow re-loader set up for the bullet feeder!

nice video man! I'm trying to get my bullet feeder die to work for 45 acp and for some reason it won't allow the bullet to set on the case. I've checked the internal die to make sure collets are correct. I've checked the flare on the case. Just can't get the bullet to fall out of the die when the case is pushed up into it??? any ideas???

I quite agree with you about the RCBS die. Mine should be delivered tomorrow. Cheers!

Nice Job! good video Just an FYI i had issues with my bullet feeder dripping 2 bullets instead of one. After hours of frustration a quick call to hornady let me know sometimes you may have to pinch the top collet together a bit and reassemble the die.

Thanks Chuck, I haven't had that problem yet.......That is good to know.......Thanks for watching!

I watched this video and had no problems getting it to work. I did not flare as much as the Hornady directions indicated thinking I would just ad more if it was needed. It worked fine and have left it alone. I could not get bullets to feed after having no problem with the initial set up. It chewed up a piece of brass so I knew something fell out of calibration. I took it apart and discovered that bullets would not fall thru the upper collet. So I opened it up a little. I used a blade screw driver to open the collet. I gently pushed it into each gap just a hair. Now they fall thru the upper collet and wait in the lower collet for a case. I have read that the lower collet becomes loose and drops all your bullets over time. The solution is to press the collet back to a tighter grip. I am just dropping mine in manually at this time when I load a case on a turret press.

Great video thank you! Are you still using the original bullet tunes from the kit? I'm wanting to add a bullet feeder for my LNL press, but I'd like to be able to have about 100 bullets ready to go. So I can refill primers and bullets at the same time... Thanks!

great video, I have mine installed a Lee Loadmaster for 9mm I'm using Extreme's 124gr rn bullets and everything would be going fine for the first 15 -20 rounds then one won't drop and I have to remove the tube and die. Has this been an issue for you and do you have a fix?
@CmaxArms7 жыл бұрын
I also use xtreme 124gr RN plated bullets and have loaded thousands of them.... I keep a single chopstick.... when one will not drop, I will hold the tube in place with my left hand and use the chopstick to push up thru the die from the bottom and them pull it out allowing the bullets to drop back into the die, it pushes the bullets up in the tube and they realign.......if that does not work adjust the die...... thanks for watching Cmax

Cmax Arms, I bought a Hornady Bullet Feeder. I reload 45acp's. I am having a lot of trouble with the bullet feeder. I watched your video and did everything you said. The bullets don't feed into the case. I called Hornady and they told me that I have to clean the collets is that true?. I have tried 230 Grn full metal jacket bullets and I am having the same problem. What do you suggest?.

@ipell86886 жыл бұрын
is it really a must ? I mean the dillon powder die does the same job right ?
@iamkikoman7 жыл бұрын
Followed these instructions to the letter. I am loading 45 acp. The PTX is expanding the brass case to 0,481. The bullet does drop, but it giggles as I cycle to seat/crimp die.
@CmaxArms7 жыл бұрын
Contact Hornady tech support and see what kind of info they tell you. I think it needs to be redesigned for short cases like 9mm & 45acp for lack of adjustment.

Good vid. So is the same die used and different collets for each caliber, or do you need a separate die for each caliber?
@CmaxArms8 жыл бұрын
Separate die for each caliber...... The bullet tubes do include several calibers.... The package states "380, 9mm, 38/357 Mag" and they offer a 40/10mm tube set and a 44/45 tube set. Thanks for watching....Cmax

i have a powder cop and it stops the press if your powder level isn't right
@AlmiraAbsin Жыл бұрын
You might have an RCBS lock out die which does stop the press but the powder cop will not stop the press. Powder cop will only flag the case if you have it adjusted properly. And if you miss looking at it you may end up with an overcharge or a squib load.
