Been using the FA one past couple years , little tip , those collets are a pain in the ass , you can use a shell holder instead , works grat and is much easier

Next time, try this: Take the shell holder you use for the specific caliber bullet you are disassembling. Use it in place of the "collet" (they don't work worth a spit) Put the bullet into the shell holder and put into the bullet puller with the opening of the shell holder downward. Tighten the cap on the bullet puller and wack away. You can thank me later , HA HA

I'll try this tonight, but I don't think my shell holders are going to fit and still be able to screw on the cap.

@@56nomadman my hornady ones don’t seem to fit. Maybe I’m doing it wrong.

Does these work after the shell has a crimp on it? I just got one and I haven't been able to get one case open yet regardless of how hard I hit it.

U overcrimping? Dangerous pressures that way

I dont know if it would be overcrimping or not. But I had some 7mm magnum do that to me, I just kept whacking it and eventually it came out. The cartridge was perfectly fine, and so was the bullet. It was just a weird couple of bullets

Thanks guys, no it was just a matter of striking the hammer just a little harder.
