This video was produced as a feature in Hornbeck Boats: Lightest Boats in the Deep Woods, an exhibit on display at The TAUNY Center in downtown Canton, NY, February 19, 2022 - May 8, 2022. The exhibit, which tells the story of Hornbeck Boats in Olmstedville, NY, was curated by folklorist and TAUNY Executive Director Jill Breit, historian Hallie Bond, and photographer Nancie Battaglia. TAUNY’s Director of Digital Content, Gus Geraci, interviewed 17 Hornbeck boat owners in New York’s North Country, to learn what they love about their boats and how they use them.
This video was made possible in part by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
