Hornbill is very different from other birds . Females hornbill stays inside the hole where she gave birth to babies untill the baby is completely ready .N the male hornbill need to feed them if not they will did inside the hole cause the hole will become smaller n smaller as the day past ❤️ Good eg that husband need to work it it to feed their family 🔥❤️

@@KamathDiaries They are not in the zoo, this place is Piasau Natural Reserve Miri Sarawak.They can fly anywhere, but the parents chose to stay seem like 20 over years.

The female and baby come out when the chick is ready to leave the nest. This is how they raise their chick. The mother is closed in when she lays her egg and the male feeds both of them through the small hole. This keeps the chick safe from predators. It’s odd and unusual but it must work for them because their species has survived. They likely have fewer offspring for their life span so that makes each chicks survival important for the species to remain.
