While the traditional game do not have regulations on weights except the number of participants, therefore, there is a huge weight advantages to the chakhesang team. Nonetheless this also shows that chakhesang team are also serious about this traditional game. Hornbill participation should not be an end. If all tribesmen send thier best and take this opportunity to a new level of competition and furthur the cause to take part in national and international levels, the hornbill festival would have more meaning.

Chakhesang wins wrestling - not fair, not everybody participates. Chakhesang wins football - not fair, they prepared in advanced. Chakhesang wins tug of war - not fair, they didn't use skinny guys 😂. Chakhesang wins tug of war and wins medals for Nagaland - not fair, other tribes weren't represented. But if other advanced Tribes wins - waoh wow, so good, so advanced. Some people complaining about the participants not from cultural troop but i think since there is no offical tournament for tug of war for all the tribes so i think its best to bring the best from respective tribes and select for representing the state. Confining Only for cultural troop to play tug of war is like letting only the ones who are good in sports to play music instead of the ones who are actually good in music. Just my opinion

Guys!!! Please send your best representatives next time. Please understand that in any Naga Traditional games, there is no weight or height category. Any Naga should be aware of that FACT. Also it must be mention that, even last year the Chakhesangs were the champion but the participants were not the same. Last year's finalist were Angamis too. So cheers to both teams. Lastly, this is Chakhesang way of encouraging others that we are well organized and prepared for this competition.

Most of the tribal participants were from cultural dancing troops that came to participate at the hornbill. However here the chakhesang cultural troops didnt participate, and instead made the pro body builders to participate. I have no hate for my chakhesang brothers but i wish it was just among the cultural dancing troops that came from far flung to participate. They were really exhausted dancing these whole 5 days, it should be "their" time to have a little fun... but some people didnt understand that. No hard feelings but this is something i have noticed first hand. Best wishes to all my naga brethens.
