Government should take stern action against newly built houses along the National Highway and just bulldozed and if necessary, put those people who obstruct the development work to jail. Always blaming the government and we ourselves are obstructing the development. We need to move ahead like other states.

I recently visited meluri district and different villages under meluri and what i noticed was funny, villagers are enjoying their life, taking crores as a land compensation. And funny thing is a village uncle, he's just a villager, might be a land owner, driving a Scorpio😕 To be honest we Nagas should stop this practices, there's nothing better than a road development. The construction is done by government but the public are the one who's going to use the highway, so think about it. After taking 1 to 2 crores by one person/ land owner later they will complain the road is not good its temporary,,etc etcccc what's the use😌

The land doesn't belong to govt. No one had taken compensation for one lane road. The land belongs to the owners, it's upto them to utilize the way the see deem fit. If compensation wouldn't be paid, the owners have to right to desist donating their land. We know compensation sucks but there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Its not a new thing in India, although it is new in Nagaland. If we go through the other states, i mean mainland india, if new development is coming and those who are not financially strong. They sign the bond with contractor with 50% share on compensation amount. So we nagas have the right to do the same. Everyone doesn't have same share of property. Some may have 2-3 property but many may have only 1 property so if it comes under development area, i e road construction. They should get enough compensation for new construction or resettlement. Just do research its not only happening in Nagaland but very much in mainland India. This minister are doing negotiation so that more leftover can go into their pocket. The better negotiation the warmer their pocket. Just ask yourself, will they used whole amount in development?
