Fun Fact, the Tender on Flying Scotsman has been with her for 60 or so years. The original owner for her Tender was Union of South Africa who later was given the W1 Hush-Hush Tender as a replacement. And I agree with your statement, Flying Scotsman IS the most beautiful steam Locomotive there is

This is a wonderful video. Love seeing Flying Scotsman, especially with the second tender. I have a Hornby model of one myself, the special edition of when it visited Australia (in LNER livery with no deflectors). Shows how iconic this engine really is, not just to the UK, but all over the world. Great video. Looks especially cool with teak coaches. Keep up the great work

Brilliant, I bought the exact same model R2441 at the end of 2021, its a beautiful model and loco, I got mine from Hattons DCC fitted, the box isn't in the best nick but its still good.

I remeber seeing a UK steam Locomotive at Exporail in Montreal Canada. I walked through the passageway in the tender and it was very small and tight. Like I was 13 when I walk through it. But now I would be stuck inside the passageway XD

I believe that would have Flying Scotsman as I am pretty sure it is the only locomotive from the UK with a corridor tender that went to Exporail but it could have been Dominion of Canada.

I have a Hornby 1982 Flying Scotsman that I’ve had for 8 years and nothing has ever gone wrong. I recently purchased a late 80s Scotsman but sadly it is so buggered the thing catches fire after about 1 minute of running on track

Hello LazerJet. New to the channel. I’m so glad that I stumbled upon your channel, brought back so many memories of my own Hornby train sets that I went looking & found them. Unfortunately I then remembered that when I was young that my own Flying Scotsman train tender motor broke, no idea what broke but just remembered my dad never got it working again which is a shame as that was favourite train out of the two I had. I was curious as to if Hornby’s tender trains still have motors in the tenders or do they put the motor in the actual engine like they obviously do with the engines that never had tenders in real life? Anyway keep making fun content, looking forward to seeing your new model track layout & well when I find the space to do so I’m going to start using my models again, fingers crossed the ones I have still work after so long but they have been kept well in their boxes

Experimental usually end up being better than actual engines, the experimental ones usually end up being better so that means good for his friends. He was based off of a experimental engine so he might work a better than Scotchman. I don’t think the experimental one.
