Thank you. I appreciate the comment. It took a whole day to edit that lot. I wouldn’t normally do an hour video but couldn’t shorten it without loosing valuable information

Hi Steve, It's an interesting and enjoyable video. Even though we don't do live Steam or O guage, we enjoyed watching and learning... Cheers James 🙂👍

Hey James. Thank you. Hopefully there will be something in the next video for you. What would you like to see?

@the-wagon-Steve to be honest, Steve, my grandson, and I are happy to go with the flow we enjoy seeing different aspects of the hobby. We have lots to learn about the hobby, so it's interesting to see things we don't know anything about, or maybe weren't aware of, so we'll take onboard whatever you present us with.You might have spotted the little bit of nonsense my grandson added to his channel yesterday, the Specialist Goods Movement's video, or The Accident one a few days ago. We are looking forward to seeing your next video... Cheers James 🙂👍

Nice 365, took me back I used to work for First, I started in the WAGN days. Cracking vid as always

Thanks you the comment. I’m glad it took you back. My dad used to work for WAGN. His memories probably aren’t as good as yours.

Where is Little Paxton? The garden railway sounds remarkable fun!! My problem is that I don’t have my holiday until September.
@the-wagon-Steve7 ай бұрын
Little Paxton is near a town called St Neots in Cambridgeshire

All my trains are ready to run and are both 00 and 0 gauges. My small outdoor layout is 100% Mamod and the indoor layout is my Dad’s Army layout with a working Jones the Butcher van.
@the-wagon-Steve7 ай бұрын
That sounds very interesting. Maybe you should do a video on it all and put it on KZbin. My friends garden layout has a lot to do with Dads army on it
@Madonsteamrailways7 ай бұрын
The only thing that had to happen to my Mamod train was that it had to be converted to radio control, with a control button for the built in whistle and the rest of the controller being used to keep the train running at a reasonable speed.
@the-wagon-Steve7 ай бұрын
I definitely think you should do a KZbin video on it. It sounds like something people will like

The reason for the flat battery is simply that the battery has to be removed from the feeler gauge or the battery will drop like a blinking stone!!
@the-wagon-Steve7 ай бұрын
Yeah you are probably right but you shouldn’t have to take the battery out after every use
@Madonsteamrailways7 ай бұрын
Why aren’t you using either glass or clear PVC to make the windows?
@the-wagon-Steve7 ай бұрын
I will be using Perspex to make the windows once I have cut the windows in the right places
@Madonsteamrailways7 ай бұрын
Personally, I use a Mamod train set on my patio. It’s too small a house for live steam inside!!
@the-wagon-Steve7 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comments. The mamod stuff if fascinating. I haven’t got any personally but hope to one day
@Madonsteamrailways7 ай бұрын
Do you program your locomotives on the main line or do you have a programming track?
@the-wagon-Steve7 ай бұрын
I use a short piece of programming track next to my controller
@Madonsteamrailways7 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t have live steam, even if I had a massive layout in the loft!! It’s just not an indoor option!!
@BEAR_UK3 ай бұрын
Hope you’re ok sir. Not seen you in a while
@Tonyd59967 ай бұрын
One would have thought that Hornsby could have found an easier way to control it. Seems to me like too much trouble to really bother with.
@the-wagon-Steve7 ай бұрын
There is a group called OO live steam that have made a better version of the controller that is hand held. Even as it is, it’s definitely easier to operate and control than a contemporary steam engine of any scale
@MattTrains20017 ай бұрын
out of interest, why solid windows for the coaches instead of clear/see-through ones?
@the-wagon-Steve7 ай бұрын
Good question Matt. The windows are in the wrong place for what I need. It’s easier to blank them off and start from scratch
@MattTrains20017 ай бұрын
@@the-wagon-Steve that makes sense, I shall eagerly await the next installment

Brilliant update, Steve once again. I am enjoying watching the O gauge coach build they coming along well they will be great when completed 👍 somewhere to run them, which will be a challenge, but I would be looking towards someone like Mike from the hornby magazine has he does a bit of O gauge there is a few O Gauge modellers out there im sure you can get somewhere to run them. Kind regards Gary @leicesterstationandtmd. @Gazclass58
@the-wagon-Steve7 ай бұрын
Hey Gary. Thanks for the comment. The coaches are slow progress but definitely getting there and I’m certain they will be fantastic when done. I’ve learnt so much just by producing the test coach. All things that will improve the rest of them. I’ll find somewhere to run the coaches. There is no rush at the moment but there are a couple of KZbin layouts that I wouldn’t mind running them on
@gazclass587 ай бұрын
@the-wagon-Steve Heaton Lodge would be a very good one to run them on and being Britain largest O gauge layout or someone like Peter watermans Lemington Spa me personally I get in touch with someone like Mike from hornby magazine has he could put you in the right direction when the time comes. Look forward to seeing your next video, tho I'm more into oo gauge. I am enjoying your O gauge coaches build.
