That sounds like a western engine with a crosshead vac pump. (Is it a correction for something Gresley forgot to fit 😊)

There is a kind of unsettling dichotomy here. A super basic, low detail model with realistic functionality to it.

and even more oddly, it feels more realistic watching this as opposed to watching a highly detailed a1 without the steam effects.

Maybe it's "prototype" they guy use a cheap railroad engine to develop it and is planning on putting it onto a more detailed engine in the future

@young_boy_with_an_old_midget nope majority of my jobs are high detail, in this case the client sent a railroad model. I will fit what ever is sent to me.
