Alan also didn't remove the items alex set up, otherwise he would have lasted to the scissors as well. In addition to that, after guz moved the ball point, alex only moved it back to it's original place. He could have also placed it directly in front of the line. Alex tried to be as fair as possible.

Her brother Giles is a you know well known and famous food critic who has his own shows from time to time. Obviously they came from you know the upper class middle class whatever you want to call it and they were never really play the place where they were not told how great they are and that's great and it's also funny when they're set with a task like riding a bicycle or playing soccer. Something you know they obviously didn't do growing up. Giles was on a show with Sue and they were doing some backyard gardening and he knew absolutely nothing about anything and was terrified of any kind of animal. Very funny

I love that this task really showcased Alex himself, and his own capacity for dealing with the contestants' bullshit as he sees fit. I had several great laughs watching him sabotage the contestants' countermeasures, though I think the ones that took the cake were moving the spot back himself, and cutting the net.

Yeah if Guz can move the spot and so can he, he could have put it at 10yards from the goal --- and Guz wouldn't be allowed in goal by the 12yard rule. Stabbing "the ball" & shredding it seems the safest bet? The rules don't seem to allow replacing the ball (although in football, if the ball is damaged it gets replaced I assume, so by that logic Alex might have another ball at hand).

If they took it and just travelled in one direction the whole time, then logically it would also take Alex 15 minutes to get to the spot/ball and 15 minutes to carry it back to the goal... Just take the ball/spot as far away as possible :D (NB: I thought of that afterwards - Had I been in the situation, then I would surely not have thought of it)

If Alex was there just tell him to go inside and not look until the time comes, ask of the other stuff a similar ball, most certainly they would have one, go and search for things like cardboard boxes and make a wall in like 3-5 m in front of the goal, put the side that closes from the box on the lower part of the wall so it would seem like you just didn't think it through, most probably Alex would take the bait and shoot through there for an easy goal then just hide the second ball close to the goal. When he shoots he won't see if he got it in or not, you just catch the ball knowing where it will come from, and put the second ball in the goal, then hide Alex's ball, you should have time while he would go around the wall and if you act like it went in, he won't hurry to come and see probably

Deflate the ball. Superglue it to the spot. Put both in the washing machine and put on a 3 hour cycle. Most washing machines you can’t open the door once the cycle starts. He’d either have to wait or take the machine apart. Then try score with a superglued deflated ball. In all that time you could collapse the goalposts and bury them in the garden or put them in a taxi or something.

easiest way would be to take the ball and spike and go over the fence and just walk or run 10+ minutes away then while alex if he decides to go watch the ball, take the fence and its spot and take it across the street or pull it apart and stack it onto the spot into the garage or lock it into the bathroom in the tub. that way while it takes him 10 or so minutes to grab the ball and put it back in the yard. he has to put the fence back together and back in the yard. could even cut up the spot into parts and put different pieces in different rooms while also locked :)
