Something I missed at the time is another invasion. Hornsent invades you close to Romina, Saint of the Bud. This only happens after you summon him for Messmer's fight. There are no voice lines during that invasion, making it rather awkward.

Hornsent is my bro,I couldn't beat mesmmer without him,he was such a great character and I was almost in genuine tears when I had to fight him,it was the same with Feyja,we've been through so much together and now we have to fight because of Leda's crazy ass,it sucked...

Crazy how Hornsent says flat out, "things once broken can never be the same." when the main crux of the plot is that Radagon tried to remake the Elden ring after Marika breaks it.

Strange that if you summon Jolan for this fight, you cannot summon the Hornsent as an additional cooperator.

I agree but I also think he's a bad guy. He was a greater potentate from what it seems which means he was one of the Hornsent that butchered Marika's people and stuffed them into jars

​@MK-vi2cm I think a big thing with hornsent though is that he feels REMORSE for what he did as a potentate, and even in his lines he practically begs miquella to redeem his "rueful clan" or redeem them in general. I personally sympathize with him as a character alot but that's just because I think he's such a good character and I'm a huge sucker for revenge stories

There is 1 voice line that he says when you hit him when you invade him with Leda i missed it in my playtrough because my hit killed him so it skiped that voice line to one where he dies

pretty sure I fought Hornsent after summoning him at Messmer maybe I failed that attempt or something?

I think that summoning him once is enough to get the 'angry' ending. I don't think you have to win the fight where you summon

So if u summon him to kill messmer, he just hangs out there forever after? Do we even know if he succeeds with his "revenge"? (assuming not since we dont see him on the base game)

He disappears after you talk to him - and invades you shortly before the Romina fight. Didn't know that when making the video =/

I don't even know we know. We do know how it theoretically works, but we do not really know how the got enough shamans to fill those 500 jars in the game. There are so many questions about how many are needed and if they would just wipe them out or try to breed them for an endless supply?

It's a reshade called Excalibur. It really is cool, but sometimes you can't see a thing :D
