My fav bit is: Ben: “so, we meet again!” Simon: “you don’t zay zat I zay zat!” Ben just has so much sass and angry Simon is hilarious. I’m loving the accents too aha

I'm so glad Brits have this sense of humour XD There's people saying Axis Powers Hetalia makes WW2 a joke, but what it does, just like Horrible Histories, is emphasize the weird facts you don't learn in school. It's series like these that make me enjoy history.

I like The Commandant was willing to follow the Geneva Convention by not shooting Higgins, even though the Nazis basically broke every other War Crime in the book.

Yes, I have read about their war time production capabilty and it was simply amazing. War time industry was very efficient and so was U.S.A was very resourcefull and supplied Britian with much needed weapons.

My favourite part is when he runs away then the other guy says “ send 100 guards to,cancel that”but it sounds like “ send 100 guards to, cancel dat”hehe😂

The officer's smug look when he's informed the Americans have won the war makes me all tingly. Man, this series is a good way of passing the time when you're sick.

Hahaha...this is good. I just discovered the Horrible Histories books last week and had to order a few right away, so damn funny. Love the Ruthless Romans. I have never seen them here in Germany before. Cool stuff ...and I can use them for my teaching. Zis is grrreat.

@theGummaster 1. He's squadron leader higgins. That means he's a pilot, and they were mainly used in ww2. also, pilots in ww2 were the most commonly captured troop, whereas in ww1, the pilot would usually die from the crash (no parachute)

The singular term Geneva Convention refers to the agreements of 1949, negotiated in the aftermath of World War II. The first Geneva Convention was established in 1864 BUT only 12 Nations signed it.. Switzerland, Baden, Belgium, Denmark, France, Hesse, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Prussia, Spain, and Wurtemburg. The German State of WW2 technically never signed it and thus were not legally under its restrictions.

It's called the geneva CONVENTION for a reason, it establishes what is conventional, most signing it is enough that there is expectation that all should follow it.
