HORRIFIC and GRUESOME figures from McFarlane! | Tortured Souls series 1 (2001)

Hey, Monkeyfamily! What do you think of these rather grisly figures? Do you know of any other horrific toys like these, or have I reached the limits of poor taste and depravity? Is Clive Barker the most twisted storyteller of our time? Let me know if you're aware of any other contemporary authors who can match his nightmarish output. Was this a suitably horrendous video for the spooky season? I'd love to hear your opinions! Thanks for watching, everybody! 👍🐵

I think the Term is Gestation Period but maybe in the UK its 2 Blast Taxi :). I think the Female got the best Deal :). Who wouldn't want a scythe shoulder blade dude :)? Don't you get it :)? I"m having a real hard time with YT again so eh. Clive Barker is sorta meh but was really popular when I was doing comic shows. I'm not into piercing or body modification. Otherwise he would be like a lot more eh. Most his movies are kinda boring. There is one with a monster in a trailer park I think he worked on but I could never see or remember the name. John Carpenter I seem to know all his stuff but The Ward or that odd named one in 90s. They are Action Figures not Toys :).

@@MonkeyboysToys Supposedly Blast Taxi is UK Slang from the Wresting Shoot Interview guy who resembles Harry Potter ;). I'm glad I mentioned it before putting into a routine or bit. I was supposed to do a British Version of Kung Fu Theater but forgot. I wanted proper terms like Bloke or things that would say instead of the American Dub for it :). I don't think I did the "Black" version of it either ;). I"m not organized as I'll write things on papers or random stuff :). Anxiety or things will mess it up more ;). I get rattled even if I don't show it. Then I slip into a spiral kinda like the Simpsons episode in Australia :). I really like to hear Wrestlers I know talk about their careers or random stuff :). I had used some Australian slang that I researched in stuff :). Its supposed to be like Toking Weed 2 Blast Taxi or something along those lines :).

@@MonkeyboysToys IF I gave you terms would you be able to convert how a British person might say it using Bloke etc ;)? Its not a big deal really :). I have a Kung Fu Theater Bit or a few spinoffs :). Its like an early Blazed Bit. I wanted to convert it into a UK style of speaking the English too. Maybe mix in some accents but never remembered too :). My Cousin James who was at Funeral Wake for would do Contracting Cement work. Would do the voices or things when worked with him. So I wrote a few specifically for his LOJO thing recently. They were like movies that were badly dubbed :). You don't see my mouth moving or would kinda get it better when doing it :). NObody sees what I do anyways or I don't get credit when they do so eh. Essentially I just keep doing versions of the main one. They often sound exactly the same even if the words are different. I tend to do that with any spoof or parody as I"m into rhyming or cadence. If things ever worked out for me on here I'll be sure to perfect it :).

Excellent look at you collection. Love the look of them, the level of detail is awesome! I think Talisac is my favourite, Gross that he is with his protruding womb/sack. My first thought when you showed the photo of the missing female figure was "oh its the porcupine girl from Nightbreed" before noticing it wasn’t. 🎞📖🎞

Yeah Lucidique does resemble Porcupine Girl. McFarlane also produced these in the 12 inch scale, which are amazing as you can imagine. Cheers for checking out the video! 👍🐵

Yeah it's amazing, I don't understand how it is even possible to make figures that detailed and complicated. Also, the paint apps are flawless and must've been very expensive to do. These days a figure like this would probably cost a fortune to produce and would be extremely expensive to buy. 👍🐵

@@MonkeyboysToys totally agree with you sir,very impressive figs all around,I can’t help but think of the imagery seen in the Dante’s Inferno video game,quite gruesome which you gotta love..do you know if these figs are readily available on the secondary market??

@@gerardoconnor1010 Both series of these figures are quite difficult to find and are very expensive these days. I've been after a sensibly priced Lucidique figure for years. Series 2 is a bit easier to find but it's hard to find examples with clear blister packaging that hasn't yellowed. McFarlane also produced these in 12 inch scale, which as you can imagine were amazing but are silly money now. I'd love a 12 inch Talisac and Venal Anatomica! 👍🐵

Clive Barker’s Books of Blood were brilliant! Great video Monkeyboy, love the detail of these figures, better than NECA and their horror figures!

I remember when these came out, these and McFarlane's take on the classic monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman/Werewolf, etc. The problem for me was that I never had enough money at the time to buy any of them😔

Hey dude, thanks for watching 👍 Yeah the intricate detail on these figures is quite remarkable. I don't think something like this would be affordable these days with the rise in production costs. I wish I had the female figure I'm missing. I might try to get more of the second series at some point, although they are very expensive now. 👍🐵

Ok….so this was terrifying lol, whilst I can certainly appreciate the Hellraiser style figures, they would 100% freak me our sat on the shelf lol 😲 But the level of detail and complexity of the figures is great, but I won’t be rushing to buy them as I’m far too scared to look at them 😂👍

That first guy reminds me of Pinhead or Cenobite or how spell it kinda ;). You can't tell plastic from metal :)? The next guy sorta has the same theme in a way. That he was created by the first makes sense. Though I think your missing the 3rd which is the Female ;). That seems like a Vulture or so. His flesh is just extra Bacon I"m sure ;). I don't get why it shows his perfect rear :). She reminds me of the Woman from the new Conan movies actually :). Makes me think of Night Breed mixed with HellRaiser stuff ;). Talisac makes me think of the Lynch DUNE movie kinda thing. This is why I don't get piercings it leads to this :). That makes me think of Claymore character or Attack on Titan or even Dungeons and Dragons. I forget what its called. Better to get Ate than his prior heh :). I kept thinking isn't there another one ;)? Venal probably can't see anyways :).

@@MonkeyboysToys Your Welcome it was just nice timing. I was wondering if I had missed anything or figured you were like a few weeks ahead of me. I'm about to Write 37th Set soon :). Just having a bad luck day or heh. YT keeps messing with views especially on my most recent thing. I might just quit as its like why bother if not getting any credit. I had Jury Duty then a Funeral Wake. Mom had car totaled with them not insuring her to drive anymore. That delayed me over a month besides here. I'm about to do a thing all about my experience. I was the only Juror they didn't ask a single question :). I got forty dollars for the day but was like 8 hours overall :). Stuck in traffic over 3 hours then. When got home fed Hound only to have Mom come back from Hospital as fell when was there. All that is Comedy unless your me :). Most people on here can't stand me. So I try to comment or be where I'm wanted or welcome ;). Otherwise I just leave like a tree :). I got so much anxiety about it too :). I'll think I said or did something. Even though I failed its all I can do to help those get to 1K or better. I don't get why they keep giving me surveys to do :).
