Firefighters see so much death, mangled bodies, destruction, and many firefighters struggle with prolonged complex post-traumatic disorder as an end result. Their expertise in extrication training, their experience at cutting people out of vehicles is an executed precision drill every time I watch one of these videos. I am grateful beyond words for the firefighters. I watched them carry my neighbor out of her burning building several months ago. It was like watching a slow-motion movie, as firefighters carried her lifeless body to the ambulance to revive her. I have nothing but the utmost respect for their bravery, their incredible work ethic, always working as a team, in tandem. #BraveFirefighters

@Mattatron most fire departments are actually on low scale pay salaries. Most firemen who are with career paid departments chose to work 2 jobs because of such. Firefighting/first responder, EMT, or police most often don’t do it for the pay. You won’t get rich in this line of work by no means. Your pay is in other things, like purpose and satisfaction in helping others. It’s priceless.

Thank you for your prayers for these people! I was an ICU and ER nurse for 35 years. We do see horrible things and we don't forget them. Seeing a manglad or dead body is something you get used to, yes. What you never get used to is the grief of the loved ones. I can still see their faces and hear their cries. The young mother finding out her son is dead. A 14-year-old girl whose mother died in a crash right before Christmas, sobbing to me that she had bought her mother a leather jacket for Christmas, her mother wanted it so much, and she had saved up all her money. This was over twenty years ago and I can still hear that precious child sobbing and talking about this present she had for her mother. I could tell 50 "sob stories" like this and the truth is it is all buried in my heart. I do have mental health issues from it but I do not regret it. I was there to hold the grieving and to cry with them. I feel that is a good life's work to have done.

I snapped my back in half with a fractured hip and I was wearing my seatbelt which saved my life. I could have died at the scene while it was caught on camera. 😮😢😢 I was knocked out for two days and April 12th I woke up in the hospital being told I could be 85% paralyzed from the waist down. That day changed my life forever and I don’t drive fast anymore even tho I fainted at the wheel ❤ I am fully healed 8 years later and can walk but still dealing with complications from that day. 😢❤

I've seen A LOT of accidents in my 47 years, but this is an interesting one. I hope they can heal and respect those who saved them! I was in an intersection 2 miles from home when a Truck going around 60mph went directly into a tree. I was first on scene. The driver is a Navy Seal Veteran w/ his stepson in the back seat and daughter in the passenger seat. We got the boy out unharmed then a fire started under the passenger door so luckily adjacent was a gas station w/ fire extinguisher enough to get her out w/ minor injury from airbag. He took the tree head on! He was extracted and CareFlighted out. Unfortunately he lost both legs which we knew from when he was extracted. He had a possible seizure related to a TBI while on deployment. He is a fighter and although it's been a few years, he remains determined while helping other Veterans too!

The way he is repeating questions and asking what happened are possibly due to head injuries. The blood on his face is also a good indicator of a head injury. Always (for me) the toughest patients to deal with as unless you are trained it can get very frustrating to have to repeatedly answer the same questions over again. Then you add in the speed the driver must of been going and whether they are under the influence of drugs or alcohol and its one big mess. I hope both patients survive and recover fully, learn from the experience and live full lives. Prayers for all those who helped as well. Thank you for this video. It's a good example of how patients with head injuries can appear. The rescuers seem to be ignoring his repeated questions in order to focus on removing him from the vehicle and being very patient with him, allowing him to ask away.

If it’s clean fractures sure. But his legs were probably completely crushed he was in a lot of pain just a little bump he screamed like hell. At the end he couldn’t even talk but to scream. Compound fractures like that, once can lose a leg or both legs. They couldn’t get him out for while. Sometimes blood won’t flow and tissues/nerves are damaged too much that they need to amputate or lose use of legs from nerve damage on spine. Stupidity.

Superb job done by these firefighters. I am so grateful to my brothers and sisters that are out there working in the 911 system. This is such an underpaid profession I’m speaking mostly about paramedics… And so underappreciated. There needs to be a law pass at 911 workers cannot work over eight or 10 hours a day every 911 worker I know works at least 12 hours a day possibly 24 hours up to 72 hours. These people are out there risking their lives to save other lives and not only is a salary and benefits not worth the cost potentially… But 911 is overworked underpaid and under appreciated.

I was a pedestrian hit by a car and broke 15 bones in my body yet somehow I was conscious. Somehow I was not in pain or even that scared. I was fairly calm and numb and I could not talk as I tried or scream because I crushed 5 ribs so I was struggling to breathe. I even tried to stand up but bystanders stopped me and I just layed there fading in and out as if I was falling asleep and I was struggling to stay awake. I beleive it was from blood loss as I had over 40 stitches. Today 7 years later I'm fine except for my shoulder will never be the same and I can't sleep on that side too long and a few scars not on my face thank God. Although I was told I might never walk again I walked out of the hospital 3 days later after 2 emergency 8 hour surgeries. In my case it was mid over matter maybe but I made up my mind I was gonna walk again very soon and I did without even any therapy.

Also, there was a young man in his early teens in the same car. Unfortunately, he did not make it. After that accident, I saw that kid in a wheelchair, with his buddies consuming alcohol, and smoking marijuana. Maybe that was the way he was coping, but that probably wasn't the best way, especially since a young teen died in the accident, a accident that was cause by the driver due to speed.

Def interesting use of the Spreaders with the chains, I don't think my Dept has those attachment points for ours, though we've done drills with the mechanical High Lift Jacks doing that exact same pulling movement. Do agree that with that much access they should have had a c-collar on him a lot sooner (obvious head injury, distress from either distracting injuries or Etoh/drug intox (or both) AND high mechanism, this guy isn't a candidate for partial c-spine precautions in my book, def shouldn't have been allowed as much freedom to twist and turn all over like that...) Heck I was starting to think when they were pulling the car off the curb to get him extricated with all that banging and bouncing, I'd be tempted to go dig out and dust off the KED for it's once a year usage lol

Wow, it’s an absolute miracle these people survived! Mercedes may be expensive, but they’re built like tanks. If you can afford one, it could save your life. I have a Toyota highlander and after driving a Mercedes SUV for a week, it makes my highlander feel like a paper plane. They’re solid and you can definitely feel it when you drive them.
@JMM599 Жыл бұрын
@breadandcircuses8127 You really have to drive one to feel how solid it is. It's hard to explain

@breadandcircuses8127 they have a tube or bar all the way around them, the engine will drop and not force back into the cabin, they have so many safety features. my insurance on them is much lower than a corolla.

I don't know why some of the graphic scenes are blurred. Coz i think people need to see the whole picture so they realise why there are road rules when you drive. It's sad but its better to see the absolute truth these situations as a warning to others.
