Some schools tacitly and/or actively facilitate & encourage bullying. Sometimes they try to silence the victims for the sake of "reputation". How are we supposed to protect our children under these circumstances? MSJ HS in Mandeville is a prime example.
@dwighthibbert7309Ай бұрын
Those kids who did the bullying as young as they are should be expelled and placed in boarding school. Unless there are drastic measures taken they might grow up thinking this sort of thing is OK. Equally disturbing is the fact that someone thought it was OK to just stand there and record it and shared it. What has society come to? The parents of those kids are ultimately responsible.

Its full time the ministry of education realize far too many of our children leaving high school with no subjects, no skill, no trade, nothing to face the world with, after years spent in high school. It is a hugh problem for our country which the policy makers has overlooked. Its full time Heart Trust skills and trade program be implemented in all the high schools. So the students who are not academic sauvy could learn a skill or trade while in high school. Leaving with there Heart certificate, which is something valuable at home and abroad in the working world.
@KishaDebPАй бұрын
Please the onus is on each child to learn. The Ministry of Education has problems but most children in Jamaica has no interest in school.

So, do parents have any role in their child's education ? Are the schools also solely responsible for ensuring that children complete their homework when they get home, instead of being on social media? If parents are doing their part, then there would be a valid reason to place the blame on the school system.
@Jfwqs7212Ай бұрын
The lack of trades and vocational training and certification is the reason for the high illiteracy rate and the high crime rate. When you are educated you have options and make good choices in life.

When jurors go to court and criminals are found guilty, is the police or courts going to protect them or their family members from these heartless criminals that we have in Jamaica? Jamaica's judicial system needs to get its acts together before it starts to compell citizens to act as jurors.

Yes that was bullying but also an act of cowardice. Look at the size of the child being bullied in comparison to the bullies. It’s sad to see this happening in our schools. The government should create a reform school to host such bullies. Allow the reformed back in school after successful counseling and community service.
