Slava Ukraini! Heroiam slava! 🇺🇦 In the video, there's a direct correlation to the pressure she felt for procrastinating lyric writing for the album to the last second. Her bandmates pursue her, pressure her. The bullets (sharp words) at them do nothing, but then she sees the wolves on the wall, realizes her defensive anger and her over-reaction in a situation she created, and throws "her art" (metaphor for the lyrics they want) at the band and they go away. The wolf story (below) is critical to understanding her internal conflicts as displayed by the wolf art. White Wolf, Black Wolf: A Cherokee Story Inside you lives a wolf of white- of patience, peace and love. He is forgiveness, hope and light; a blessing from above. This wolf of white the world will see through all the good he brings to thee. _____This wolf of white, _____this wolf of white, his gifts will set your spirit free. A wolf of black, as dark as night lives next to him inside. He’s hatred, rage, cruelty, fright, intolerance and pride. This wolf of black the world will see through evil actions, evil deeds. _____This wolf of black, _____this wolf of black, his teeth will make your spirit bleed. Within your soul, the two wolves fight to see which one will give directions and will win the right to show you how to live. Which one will win the fight? We need to pay attention; pay close heed! _____Which one will win? _____Which one will win depends upon which one we feed.

Their song Home Back is a must watch especially at this time. They left their home country in Donetsk Ukraine back in 2014 because of the initial occupation of Russian troops in Ukraine.

Having music you identify with and having it speak to you is exactly why people listen to music. You can roughly categorize (if that's your thing) people by what they listen to, what they watch, how they add to a conversation. Years ago, this would be called street-smarts - the ability to recognize how people are. With that said, having songs that seem to mean more is wonderful and almost empowering - you get a sense that you are not alone. Artists that can bring their inner self out and share their perspective is an amazing talent - but for the people who recognize and identify with the song, they become fans and grow to appreciate the artists more. Tatiana is a gifted person, both in her talent to sing and also her talent to write. A lot of people identify with this song because of the lyrical content, the introvert perspective, and then with the emotion and energy you can feel in her voice. Everyone has their crosses to bear in life, but knowing you are not the only one helps lighten the load. Thank you Mary!

The video blatantly shows Jinjer's song writing process. The guys write, then record the 'basic' music and turn it over to Tatiana to inspire her to write the lyrics and lay in the vocals as she chooses. Tatiana herself will admit she often procrastinates and the rest of the band starts to 'bug' her wanting to hear the songs progress. This often leads to arguing with the guys standing firm (Tatiana in the video literally shooting an Uzi at the band which has NO effect on them). In the end Tatiana comes up with something amazing and a new Jinjer song is born (In the video, Tatiana literally throws her "art" at the band and they disappear... they finally got what they'd been asking for). So far as the lyrics to this song, I am an introvert so I completely relate.

Please continue your dive into Jinjer, I'm enjoying your takes. On a completely different tip there's a pretty obscure UK series (no idea if it crossed to US cable or if it's on streaming services), a very meta mockumentary called "Garth Merenghi's Darkplace" . If you can track it down I'd be fascinated to see what you make of it

Otep Shamaya of the band Otep L.A. CA. based formed in 2000 was Tatiana’s inspiration for her development of her harsh vocals. When a friend introduced her to Otep’s music she couldn’t believe it was a woman doing it and decided then that she wanted to do it and it took her years to develop her style.Ghost Flowers OMV is a milder song by Otep or anything from the Confrontation DVD shows her live. She’s very left wing radical FYI

Fully agree with you about being a homebody and being more comfortable on my own than around people. I would strongly urge you to look up Tati's interview with KZbinr Elizabeth Zharoff (The Charasmatic Voice channel) Who talks about her songwriting and being an introvert. As for movie reactions, please react to "The Exorcist" (1973 Claasic) and /or "The Shining" and as far as TV series: "Peaky Blinders" and "The Mare of Easttown".

Nothing wrong with pausing to fill in with a few comments. I it's based on other reactions and reactors people tend to follow and view more who pause less. Do what you got to do to avoid the strikes though. Keep 'em coming.

I do know that Tati has always said she is very introverted which I can personally identify with. Just the very name of the song Wallflower speaks to that in my mind. Other people seem scary and draining -"My batteries are low", "this life is a lockdown" and "my circle of old friends is getting empty" says that very explicitly. Basically the full spectrum of social anxiety is expressed here... The world is unsafe... I think the dark wolf is her fears, the white wolf her her peace or maybe, in Tati's case, her on stage personality?? You would never guess she was introverted when she is onstage... Anyway, that's my opinion...

Thank you for being so sweet, Sean! Witches all over do things differently, I personally have been "praying" for the people who are being affected by this. Sounds silly, but it's mostly a meditation on their safety.
