Yeah, I think a lot of it comes down to how self aware it is. The plot is still really bad, but the game _knows_ how bad its plot is and actively makes fun of it, which changes it from being annoying to funny

The message is pretty obvious, especially with the ending cutscene leaving no ambiguity on the player's choice: if you give us money, we have big and expensive things to do with it. There's a world of difference between "this game was fantastic and everything it needs to be", and "this is what we can offer with our resources currently, can you imagine what we could do with a sequel budget?", and this is so obviously the latter case.

I absolutely love the concept here that is essentially just fall guys but from the perspective of the actual contestants. In fall guys the perspective is through the eyes of the one watching the broadcast who is enamored by the show and thus their view of the show is distorted into something kid friendly and fun (kinda like tf2 pyro-vision goggles); whereas in finding frankie your perspective is from the contestant and how horrific it would be to have to play a game to save your life. Two sides of the coin of a obscene gameshow, and this game absolutely blows it out of the park! AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED WITH THE MUSIC; even if I only really noticed it at the end song, I think that it just goes to show how engaging the gameplay is to immerse you to the point where the music feels nearly natural, up until that absolute banger of course. Like someone else said to, I love that it doesnt force itself to be really scary or deep, but is just fun. and if your into the lore bits theres a couple small things here and there those who love that (personally what stood out to me the most was the single stream comment in lowercase letters talking about their brother at about 28:00 minutes in). Oh that and the fact that I dont think you even needed to talk to the other frankie; im pretty sure one could have played on without even seeing him, although I am unsure of this fact since I have not played the game myself. Bit of a long comment but I just really wanted to highlight how truly awesome this game is cause it truly does everything well: its fun, unique, funny at points, and even sometimes scary despite not wholly trying to be (at least I think so). So to Spiff, thank you for continually show casing these smaller masterpieces of games and not just shilling into playing banban number 17 quintillion, and to the developers thank you for making something unique and fun. And to everyone else who may be reading I hope you have a blessed day!

It has occurred to me that the person who collects the reward at the end of the game is most likely not who you were playing as previously, since there is no scene where the falling character gets grabbed and saved, but it is most likely who ever walked back at the start of the game. They probably hid out and let you do all the dirty work then, since it was all anonymous, came and collected the reward posing as the “winner”

Doing some quick math, 57 seasons of 4 contestants each means the gameshow has had 228 contestants, and by saying "hundreds have lasted a few seconds" that can loosely mean that only 28 contestants in the entire run of the show lasted longer than the first chase. No wonder the show was going bankrupt, 57 seasons that essentially last a couple of minutes each tend to get less exciting and less willing to put money down for as they go on- and no wonder we the player boosted the rating so much, we're their first winner and probably the only one who's managed to even get so far to meet henry hotline

idk if you said it, but from my own playthrough i learned that during the phone section, flashing actually alarms the guy and he comes to your location. this and phones is how he finds you. its quite smart that he notices that
