The Weight of Blood was YA badassery at it's finest. It was superb. The racial conflict, high school b.s., unbelievable..I enjoyed Jane Lawrence. 4 stars for me with gothic creepy vibes BUT replace the word magic (whenever they reference it) with the word seance or occult. Magic makes me think of Harry Potter and no, it's more seance, witchy vibes.
