This game is 100% scarier when its not TRYING to scare so hard. The random jumpscares seem kind of annoying tbh, but the atmosphere is 11/10. More of the subtle stuff please. Like, everything else is perfect

I think, like Prod said, it's just made to make you gasp or scream so the monster hears you. Otherwise, if you're not streaming, you can just close your mouth and the game is super easy.

00:18 backrooms are pretty old and when the original story was writtrn it blew up as big as siren head inside the creepypasta/horror scene back in like 2018[2019?]. but back then unless it hit youtube reccommended or a horror game it didnt really blow up outside of that since tik-tok wasnt a thing and the scp/indie cryptid fan communities werent as mainstream. i dont know exactly what caused it to come back but thats the background of it.

Ngl you're right, For the first 10 minutes it was eerie especially with Prod trying his best to stay quiet depriving us of his campy snarky comments to lighten up the mood. Not knowing what we're dealing with then the monster bursts out from the door, gives me a brief spook then I just "Eh I've seen worse in Agony" After that it felt like another run and hide from the monster.

Honestly yeah. The vibe of the "unknown" was really strong and atmospheric, not knowing what's coming for you. That makes for more horror than adding a generic entity. Tbh they should've added smilers, those things are creepy asf.

The crazy thing is that the ending of this is actually based off of an actual unsolved case in real life. His mom actually made a public announcement that if Timmy (yes that’s the irl kid’s name) was brought home she would get him his favorite dinner, KFC chicken. This game was extremely meh. If it wasn't for the Backrooms theme, it would be another one of these "i'm an evil piece of shit who kills children and goes to pay his sins in hell after dying" horrors that overrelies on jumpscares so much it stops being impressive, the only thing it does is sticking the Backrooms label -ripping off- borrowing stuff from Kane Pixels' Backrooms series. God's Basement had a similar premise but was way more original, the only problem with that game was the omnipresence of the narrator. But this one... absolutely not a fricking good game, it's average at best. The Kane Pixels' videos shown during the stream, on the other hand... these are fricking good.

I kinda expected the twist but also not ? I thought something would happen where, they were just 3 still immature people who thought pranking a little kid and scaring him would be fun, an accident happens where like the kid fell to his death, and they tried to cut up his body to bury/hide him, but left halfway through in fear of someone walking on the act. From the voice acting, i never really got the impression that they were the types to be like "let's torture and murder him" when seeing a little kid alone, but i guess you never know who can turn out to be a disturbed and violent person irl.
