Every year as I watch your videos, I am constantly amazed at how much work Universal puts into their Halloween Horror Nights construction! That large driveway they're building by the escalators is on the site plans that were leaked last year. My guess is that there will be some ort of theming element there, maybe one of the cars from the movies. There are a couple similar features on the site plan where the track dips down to ground level.

Like I said in the video it could be for some maintenance access. Easy to drive up some equipment in the spot since that road is there.

Honestly the fact that parks don’t disguise the horror stuff in the daytime really irritates me. Like I love me a good scary environment, but in the daytime it just looks dumb and rather muddles the vibe.

It’s kind of hard to though depending on the prop. They could throw tarps over things but then that would look even worse so it’s just one of those things we gotta get used to. I think the park that does it best is Knott’s. Their decor is pretty amazing every year.
