Moving the Tram Tour makes sense. With the coaster going in, there really isn't much to see on that hill. That would make room for another HP attraction in the former Tram Tour area. Just a thought. Thanks for the video.

Fun fact: USH was my first job as a teen. I was a show host at Backdraft (dont ask my age lol) They told us that the golf course next to USH refuses to sell its property in order for USH to expand hence why they have to keep building on top of what they have currently... RIP Backdraft. Was great for rainy days lol

I have my own theory. I think when Simpson's leave, Universal is going to turn it into a small horror area. Universal will turn the Simpson's into a catacombs. In addition to the catacombs, there will be a line que for another coaster called Escape From the Wolfman. Yes, a horror themed coaster. I can only hope...

My understanding is that the hill is being dug into and graded to increase the lower lot size by approximately an acre and to reinforce the hill against slides. See NBC Universal Evolution Plan info. Sounds like they plan to do work on it from Nov. 4th to March 2025.

My guess is they are taking out part of the hillside to build a massive retaining wall for the coaster. That part of the hill actually slid down when they began this project. They had to add the supports to keep it stable. This will be a several foot thick wall. Starting close to the escalator. As for moving the tour? Definitely not. Lol!😂

With work on F&F near the firehouse, that road will have to close, I'd assume. So you may be correct, tram relocation, and/or additional access road during F&F construction. Long term, the maintenance building next to AMC Theatres and the current Tram loading area has been rumoured for years to be removed & relocated to make way for the next park expansion.

@kentslocum20 күн бұрын
I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I don't like the cloning and copying of attractions and themed lands. 😡 It hurts me when Disney builds two Galaxy's Edges, or when Universal builds three Super Nintendo Worlds. What people don't understand when they get into the comment section and beg for Universal to build Donkey Kong Country or Dark Universe at Universal Studios Hollywood is that they will get an inferior, unimaginative, unoriginal version. ☹️ Every theme park exists in a unique place with unusual restrictions and exceptional opportunities and regional differences--so why should we be okay with copy/pasting? It's especially frustrating when the copy/paste is actually worse than the original. Just look at Super Nintendo World, for example. The Japanese version got built first, but it is land-locked and thus got a reduced version of Donkey Kong Country. The Hollywood version is tiny and only has one ride. The Epic Universe version is the best version by far, and has an entire expansion plot set aside for a rumored Luigi's Mansion dark ride and restaurant. Building multiple copies that aren't identical just invites comparison and disappointment. Plus, it reduces the attraction of visiting other theme parks if they all have the same stuff. I can't afford to travel across the country or around the world, but I would still prefer to know there is one glorious, definitive version of an attraction or land than experience a local version that is vastly inferior. If I'm never going to get to experience that "best" version of a land or attraction, why wouldn't I want to at least have a scaled-down version at my local theme park? Because my local theme park would then be missing an opportunity for something unique and special. 😢 Universal Studios Hollywood already has an inferior version of Super Nintendo World and the Wizarding World. If they were to do that again with Donkey Kong Country or Dark Universe, we never would have had a unique and exciting one-of-a-kind terrain coaster built into a literal hillside! Disney is arguably the biggest offender here. They have now built four different Frozen water rides, and three of them are practically identical! At least the Shanghai and Tokyo version differentiate themselves with larger lands that have unique and exclusive offerings--but that should be the case with every park where Disney brings Frozen! Now Paris is going to have the dubious distiction of having the inferior version of the ride, along with the inferior version of the surrounding land. Is that supponed to make people excited to go visit the Paris resort? My point is this--we shouldn't be willing to settle for less, not when we know what these theme park companies ore capable of. Stop asking for copies of existing lands and attractions, and start asking for new projects that make your local theme park a coveted destination and not just an also-ran.
@Qrispy19 күн бұрын
Not everyone has rich parents that take them across the country to different parks. To 99% of guests, the versions of those cloned lands are the only ones they're ever going to see.
@kentslocum19 күн бұрын
@Qrispy I mention that in my comment, because I am one of those people who can't afford to travel. And yet I still stand by my statement. Let's say that Disneyland Park is Anaheim is my home park. I'd prefer that Disneyland Park in Anaheim has the best (and only) version of ToonTown and Runaway Railway, even if that meant Hollywood Studios in Florida has the best (and only) version of The Great Movie Ride. By cloning Runaway Railway, Florida got an inferior version of the attraction at the expense of a unique and beloved attraction. Are you saying it's a net benefit that people visiting Florida get a worse version of Runaway Railway instead of a unique attraction that was built specifically for that park? Just because I want to experience The Great Movie Ride (and can't afford to travel to do so) doesn't mean that I want Disney to demolish Splash Mountain to build an inferior version at my home park. People aren't upset that Disneyland Park is the only Disney park with The Matterhorn. But I get to enjoy it. I'm not losing my mind over the fact that EPCOT is the only Disney park with Cosmic Rewind and I'll probably never get to ride it. I'm happy for Florida that they get Epic Universe, and I'm sad that the park I can actually visit (Universal Studios Hollywood) gets a dumbed-down version of Super Nintendo World instead of something unique that sets it apart. Dubai has the Burj Khalifa. Should we build a shorter version of the Burj Khalifa in America so more people can see it? Of course not! The Burj Khalifa is something special for those in Dubai to enjoy--and they can share that joy with the world via video. Should Dubai build an inferior version of the Statue of Liberty, so more people in the Middle East can visit it? Of course not! I'm proud that America has such an iconic statue (just as Brazil has the Christ the Redeemer statue), even though I won't be able to visit the Statue of Liberty and most Brazilians won't be able to visit Christ the Redeemer. My point is this--there are always going to be things that people won't gen to experience in person if they can't afford to travel. That's how travel works. If everything was the same everywhere, Disney parks wouldn't feel special and instead would feel more like Walmart or McDonald's. Better to take pride in the fact that the theme park you can afgord to visit has put its best foot forward and is giving you a wonderful, one-of-a-kind experience, than to know that the theme park you can afford to visit isn't worth visiting by people who can afford to travel. I would be willing to not have Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland if it meant that Hollywood Studios got a stunt show and a dinner theater and a third attraction at their version, and if our Rivers of America was enlarged and improved (since Magic Kingdom's is going away). That's called being unselfish and wanting good things for others. And it means that I also get good things for myself. When everyone is only selfishly thinking of themselves and grasping desperately at whatever they can find, everyone loses because we all get just crumbs instead of a whole cake. I don't know about your personal preferences, but I think most Nintendo fans would rather have one park get a beautiful immersive Legend of Zelda land and another get Donkey Kong Country than have both get themed giftshops instead.
