I actually have Children on the Hill from the library & was happy it was in this video so I can’t wait to read it. I’m a little preoccupied reading From Below by Darcy Coates & loving it so far but it’s pretty long. I love your opinions on the movies too! It’s rare to find a horror movie that will connect with you & that you’ll want to rewatch, it’s different for everyone but personally that’s what makes a great horror movie for me

Also I have to say I do not enjoy Paul tremblay books. I find them all (the three I’ve tried) horribly depressing. I love the feeling of dread in books but he makes me depressed and sad . That’s just never the goal.

I read Children on the Hill and absolutely loved it. It’s a contender for my favorite horror book of the year. I was extremely disappointed by The Pallbearers Club. It wasn’t what it was marketed as. I own two of Paul Tremblays other books: Disappearance At Devil’s Rock and A Head Full of Ghosts, so I’m going to read both of those then see if I’ll read any more of his books.

I loved Barbarian! One of my favourite movies this year. I also read The Children on the Hill and didn't like it that much. I felt like the story in the 1978 timeline wasn't very interesting and then the story in the present didn't have enough tension or stakes for the ending to be satisfying. I did read The Winter People because of one of your videos and loved it so thanks for the recommendation :)

I'm glad you brought up Black Phone. I think I was disturbed only because of the content. I wasn't scared, it was just gross. I can't believe Ethan Hawke was even in that movie. On a happier note! Lol Looking forward to reading Jennifer McMahon book after your review
