I have really fond memories of this one and along with the first Zero Escape (999 is recommended on DS if possible), it sealed the deal with ships being great horror settings. I know that the ports after the 3DS made some small changes like rearranging enemy placement in addition to what higher difficulties do which is a nice touch to keep people on their toes.

Fun fact for the RE connoisseur, Revelations' soundtrack features Code: Veronica's main composer Takeshi Miura. Among Revelation's best tracks is "Ride on Sea" which has some very pronounced Code: Veronica DNA in its main themes.

I picked up RER1 and RER2 some months back, sort of late in the game, so to speak. I found the second installment more compelling and leaning more towards horror elements, but RER1 was pretty good to scratch that itch (itchy, tasty). Cheers for another excellent review, Mason Scale makes October even better!
