Vampires are always made out to be these tough, evil creatures, it was refreshing to see a vampire with an almost human side. I could sit through an entire movie with these characters and never get tired of the story. Great work!

I swear I guessed right from the start this was about vampires! The talk about not drinking seemed normal for about a second and then when her friend spoke about living in a small European village where nobody went out at night and the other girl saying her marriage ended because she destroyed the person I KNEW. Also I've never had a drink that burned my nose! When she jumped in the car covered in blood I thought she doesn't need a hospital, that's not her blood-the girl relapsed! I thought this was really clever and different,I particularly love horror with a twist in the tale so this was right up my street.Even though I guessed what was going on I still really enjoyed it and I give it a big fangs up 👍🧛

Oh wow I love this. As a recovering addict with some years and with a previous relapse; to me this is so great. It shows how crazy things can get after you don’t use for so many years. It’s not only so dangerous, but it truly gets “ not pretty” every time. This is just a cryptic version of how ugly it can be when you relapse. And how insane it makes you. Especially and despite the hard work. Stay strong friends!

Even a good squeeze with a wrenching movement delivers the same result. 😭 Having administered the correct pressure you can walk away, whistling nonchalantly, as your aggressor will be in no fit condition to retaliate, beyond a strangled gargling noise. 😜😂 The Nobel Committee keeps refusing me my prize for putting this hypothesis forward, even though I have volunteered, using members of the committee, to prove my theory correct. Ten stars for starring and directing this at the same damn time! Wow! Just wow! I am curious, if youd like to divulge the information... How did you come up with the idea for making this film? Have you personally or someone close to you, ever struggled with addiction? Or, is there another way you came up with the idea? I must admit, knowing first hand what true addiction is and the TRUE HORROR that comes with it, you did a phenomenal job combining the reality and fantasy pieces to convey: "THE ADDICT". You portrayed the cravings, "war stories", chit chats after a meeting, emotions, temptations, guilt, fear, struggle, loss, etc. everything, related to addiction so well in 14 min!!! What a brilliant horror twist- incorporating the vampires and how if they truly walked among us, they too would need some sort of recovery program to help them and US (humans) coexist. Just like "real drug addicts/recovery"... Recovery helps us ALL! Teaching and informing people in a variety of ways and giving them the "tools" to support and live with addicts in our family or friend groups along with educating and guiding addicts through 12 step programs to learn how to live sober, clean lives; many people in today's society have some knowledge of this since the statistics show, addiction in today's world affects some 34million of us in some way or another! Secondly, when an addict "fails" it doesn't only hurt them. Devi, is physically and mentally hurt by the man who gave her the first drink, but, it also hurts the ones who love the addict most. In many cases, loved ones are hurled right back into the F-ed Up World of Addiction right along with the addict who has been lead astray or "failed" to stay clean. Devi and her fiance portray this very well. He tells Devi he will stay with her no matter what and forgives her almost immediately before knowing the circumstances. He tells her that they are in HER journey together and, that he will do whatever it takes to help her... Almost enabling her. He convinces Devi to believe that even the worst thing she could do, wouldn't make him break up with her. BAM! The addicts mind then takes control of BOTH of them! The addiction takes over! Sadly, this is yet another awful TRUTH to how real this disease is and how powerful it can become for some people and those around them. It consumes BOTH of them... In Devis case, literally consuming/EATING her man and in his case, well, becoming the midnight snack 🍫 Aaahhhhhhh!!!!! The irony. I think on a deeper level, this really captures how devastating addiction can be and how hard it can be to stay sober, and how easily an addict falls right back into full blown addiction, even after many years of sobriety. It also shows how easily loved ones can fall victim to this disease BC they think they are helping, but little do they know they are only being manipulated by pure evil. Even though, addicts do truly love their friends and families so very much, unfortunately, the affliction of any substance abuse is VERY real and can sneak up out of nowhere and literally suck the lives out of everyone in "its" path. Awesome way to begin the 2 week horror extravaganza, Alter! You've definitely altered my state of mind today!!! ❤ #VampireLivesMatter

@@benferguson4120 You can't advise someone to get red of an addiction. They're addicted, it's that simple. Addicts don't take advice, which is why so many die before their time. You'd be wasting your breath. Advising them not to take up bad habits from the beginning doesn't work either and, again, you'd be wasting your breath. Those that beat their addictions will tell you the same...they kicked the habit, not because of advice, but because they knew they'd die if they didn't and they wanted to live more than they wanted to die. As for vampires, well, I don't know if they die without blood and our heroine lasted for seven years. We saw in the _Interview with a Vampire_ books and films that the originators of the vampires could last for thousands of years without blood and only needed a few drops the return to their full powers. Maybe Boo could have lasted longer, but the girl was thirsty and one drink led to another. 😉😜😂

ALTER!! Boy I tell you! I love it!!! I knew it when she kicked the door in so hard that something was up. I thought the alcohol did it. But when she held her breathe when he leaned over I knew it!! He had to press her. Just wouldn't be quiet, let her breathe and NOT be touched and take a shower to wash off the blood. LOL!! We cannot trick or treat here because of COVID but at least I have ALTER!!😁
