For those wondering what this short was all about the creator Ciara Boniface (19 yrs) won a contest by Disney where she received $100,000 and a car. She plans to make Skintight a full feature film with the winnings . Also she wanted the short to be open ended to spark conversation. I can't wait to see what this story is about in full! When she broke the chains at the very end, that’s when I realized that this film was( to me) about literally breaking the chains of racism... and making a pretty direct reference to the southern attitude at the time of the civil war. “ you people need to get it together “ . Btw...I read the poster too and it came to mind one time I was hearing a spiritualist from Louisiana African descent and he was explaining regarding the power of the melanoma or melanin in dark skinned people..I have African descendants and white as powder lol ..but he said there is more power to blacks people than what they know. And if they knew how much power is in their skin as much as in their blood they would not let themselves be oppressed. He was mentioning that they white man wanted to invent Catholicism just so to make voodoo seem evil when voodoo or hoodoo is as much as a religion as any. Idk...he said so much more...and that generally had me thinking about it. I feel like there is so much truth to things he was saying. Mind if I ask what is your opinion on that if any?
