I did watch the T.V show Poltergeist: The Legacy and the only reference to the movies I can recall was in one episode when the lead guy in the group mentions Tangina as a member of the organisation and that she died to save a child's life, but that was it, nice nod to the movies and the character but didn't have any real impact on the show. Love the movies the Trilogy is always a fun watch.

I think in the novelization for the second movie, it is mentioned that it's been a few years since the events of the first movie and the reason Stephen says it's been a year is that it's been a year since him and Diane since put in their latest claim on the house from the 1982 original.

Fun fact: Poltergeist the Legacy was originally never meant to be a poltergeist TV series. After the name change there's a throwaway line about the events of the first movie, that way they could say see it's in continuity.

1 OCTOBER 2024-When I think about the scariest movies I watched growing up, Poltergeist is at the top of that list. Even now, it holds up in terms of fear factor, largely due to how realistic the ghosts felt, especially considering the era it was made. The way they crafted the atmosphere was genius, and it left a lasting impact. As for the sequels, I wasn’t a fan, except for Poltergeist 2, and let’s be real-that’s only because Julian Beck’s character was nightmare fuel.
@brandonpage7087Ай бұрын

The original released when VCRs made it possible for the public to control their own content programing and break free of The Big Three networks, cable tv and theaters. The film industry began churning out films that demonized television and tv sets. Thats why the dad shoves the tv out of the hotel room at the end.

I’ve only just got into what I would call pure horror, movies like Alien and The Thing always appealed to me through the lens of sci-fi. Horror often used to seem cheesy to me. I'm still yet to find another film, that terrifies me more, than Poltergeist used to!! Still the scariest movie ever, for me! Well, the Entity also scared me just as bad as Poltergeist, so let me change that & say that i haven't found another film, as terrifying for me, as Poltergeist & the Entity. My mom loved the Poltergeist films & was the one who introduced me to them. 2 is definitely hugely underrated! For me, that white furry thing growling at the mom, Diane, in the hallway scene, near the end, was & still is more terrifying to me, than the clown. Tbh, the clown never scared me, but that white furry thing, scarred me, for many years. So did the corpses, popping up out of the ground, at the end. I wonder if those actually were real corpses, as Jobeth Williams claimed. 3rd movie is definitely a fun watch, for me. The remake however, dull as hell, & not worth a rewatch, as far as I'm concerned. Poltergeist is a true classic, that should've never been remade to begin with.
@scottneil1187Ай бұрын
Poltergeist is kiddie horror, it's PG and has never been scary in any way.
@brandonpage7087Ай бұрын
@scottneill1187, different people find different things to be scary. It's not something that's fact, it's more tailored to people's personalities. Some stuff that will terrify a majority of people will not be scary at all, to certain others. Like for instance, the Exorcist doesn't truly scare me, but I can understand why it scared & scarred so many other people. My mom being one of those people.

I want you to know that I always wanted to say this to you. Thank you for making this video so I will be sure to go with a prequel as poltergeist origins to try to come up with scenes movie scenes for the next chapter to it so 1826 would sound right, as far as I can tell you that can give us a prequel and I can write it because I am In fact, a screenwriter and it’s true I’ve been riding movies like a prequel to night of the living dead and mine is going to be morning of the living dead. That’s what I’m gonna name it so you give me another prequel to go with also known as. Known as this poltergeist origins and I am going to try to get a prequel going so as a fact, I want you to know thank you for coming up with a year that could go with so other than that I just want to know. Thank you for making this video, I’m the one who got you to make this video, just like the bogeyman and the X-Men movies which I highly doubt that Deadpool is not really a part of the X-Men timeline that’s all I was trying to tell you I’m not trying to make you to do or different or whatever. I just know what I hear and I am not talking about the excellent timeline. I’m talking to you as a friend at this point I want you to know Josh, that you know who I am , I am Robbie Anson who I am. I been subscribe to you for so long now if I didn’t like your channel or anything like that, I would have unsubscribe by now, but I’m not doing that to you. You’re too awesome. I love your haircut and if you do another X-Men timeline video starting with X-Men origins, I am not saying you have to , but I just thought that be before everything because of the age of James Hallett, also known as Logan and Wolverine that’s all I mean, you never answered questions and our questions being unanswered being answered by you. You never done that yet you don’t have to start for them I have to do is just do them if you want the ones that you find worthy to be answered For me but it’s like I said thank you for making this video and I’m gonna go with a year 1829 Year Way to do that prequel now I know what it would go with as for now the year the picture would’ve been happening. it would’ve happened 1827 a year later from the , gathering of the old man preacher yes he was a preacher and yes, I’m gonna try to get a pre-call going so I hope that you know I’m coming from with this whole X-Men timeline and Deadpool. That’s all I was trying to tell you, but if you do that or not, I’m not saying you have to , only you asked for only wait until you do it but for now this is the end of my comment and I want you to know love the haircut because I love it a lot really cool hairstyle. I love it a lot and I love you a lot and you have a beautiful family and I hope that you , talk with me again and I want you to know I’m sorry that you heard me wrong about timeline this of the X-Men this and that I mean nothing by it but here’s the thing I don’t care about that I care for you being a friend to me and me being a friend to you at least give me a prequel to poor Geist origins will take place in the year of 1826 and that is what I am going to go as far as for poltergeist origins
