I love all the little critters on your property. When I was working, we used to have a pair of ducks walk into my gas station every afternoon looking for snack. The female was bolder than the male, and would come right up to me for the pumpkin seeds I had under the counter, but I made sure they both got something. It was so cute they way she would quack at me, and the customers would love it, especially those from other countries (our place was right next to the San Francisco Airport). Anyway, congratulations on the progress of the Barn, I am a bit envious of the amount of room you have to follow your passions!

I just came back from my house in Costa Rica, finished putting in a 12 kWh solar and battery system. Absolutely love it, especially the automation and internet management (my main place is in Boston, so having remote energy management is super handy)

My Dad worked for Eaton from 1965 to 1983, for an electric motor division, and I have an old acquaintance who (iirc) retired from Cutler Tool and Hammer/Eaton in the NOLA area. I've also got LP siding on my lean-to shed along my garage. Menards has it in a primed version. I matched the reveal on the garage and painted it (and the very old garage with beat up Cedar siding) Barn Red with White trim. Well the shed's trim will be white once I fully finish painting.

Hi Jimmy. That siding looks amazing! If you heard that someone was paining a barn black, you might think that it wouldn't look good, since barns aren't usually black. Yours look terrific in black and the engineered siding should last forever with next to no maintenance. You can tell that David's work is going to be top-notch when he takes the time to paint the exposed edges of the siding!
