A peacock feather would work well. Try adding a fine mesh of horse hair loosely on top of your combustibles reduction chamber style raku too. Should be less stinky as you can take the chamber outside.

Hello! I love your videos! Quick question?.... When you fire pottery in the microwave kiln do you use kiln wash and a kiln paper? I am planning on purching a microwave kiln soon for pottery so I want to be all prepared. Thanks! Keep making videos please.

Yes, I put a couple of coats of kiln wash on the middle platform and always use shelp paper, at least for glass.
