Dr. Pol's own Friesian horse is limping and he has to figure out the cause. What are your thoughts on Dr. Pol helping his horse?
@pipr50704 жыл бұрын
Nat Geo WILD his horses need a farrier big time. The hooves are way too long and they need treatment for thrush. That’s what’s causing the smell.

Friesians are really not that expensive over here in the Netherlands. They're quite common.
@hannelevirtaniemi23614 жыл бұрын
@@lucasa1849 Ya, because they are common in the Netherlands, not in the states. It plays a surprisingly big part in the final prize of the horse, for example, in my country (Finland) the "Finnish working horse" (don't know what it is called in English so used loose translation) is quite common and usually is a lot cheaper as well, put you would have to put your life savings on one mustang, since they are not native nor common in my country.

Same here! I learned how to ride when I was 6 years old and even though I grew up in the city, I enjoyed the smell of horses very much. Because they mostly eat grass and hay, the best way to describe the odor is "earthy". To make a couple of my non-horse friends flinch, I'll ask them what a gelding is. Their usual responses to that question range from "I don't know" to "No clue". My response to their cluelessness: "It's a male horse that's has his balls removed by a veterinarian." Their reactions to my answer range from "Eww, gross!" to "OMG, Liz! You're weird." We all laugh about it in the end.

i was just sitting here watching dr pol on tv. have no idea how old it was but it was when charles brought in his baby peacock drogo cause it wasn't feeling well. any how i know you were worried about the bird but...went your dad says put a towel around it, it needs to stay warm ...you put a towel around it. your dad even told you again and you left with the poor little bird sitting (s__ting cause it did) on you leg with out a towel to keep it warm. see if you had put a towel around it your leg would have been saved. as the show went on i saw what good care you actually did do for the bird but it was funny, if you had put a towel around it your leg would not have gotten pooped on. i know it's not that big of a deal ...just funny. it was so cute how you got a companion for him so he would not have to be alone.
