Think the Paddy Power and Coral Gold Cups are both races where you think either last year's novices are good or not. I am going with not and would rather take seasoned handicappers. For PP took bigger early odds on Ga Law who ran a great prep race, will love course/distance and ground and sets a high bar and still has some scope for improvement (though also a saver on the Cromwell horse in case it runs).

i think he means that it was fragments of glass or debris that damaged his ear not a bullet.........the pictures certainly dont support a bullet hitting him

Turned this on its headline,states"Cheltenham November Meeting Preview"??Every podcast is about the politics of the racing game and the hierachy and what they are and are not going to do these days.I watch Skysports Racing and Racing Tv because you get to see the horses in the parade ring and on the way down to the start where as Itv Racing is like a drama and lets go behind the scenes here in this stable this week and see whats been happening and before you know it the horses are down at the start and the race about to begin.Some punters just want podcasts about horses not all the politics of it all and dont give two shakes whos in charge of the Bha.Punters want to talk horses punters want less racing and better quality racing without any walkovers live on air and the super star National Hunt horses taking eachother on thats what punters want and none of the powers that be seem to have sorted that out yet which Itv Racing found to there cost showing us a walkover live on air.

@thechameleon344 Well in the 70s,80s,90s,good ground was safe to run on you only had 2 meetings Mon,Tues,Wed, not 6 meetings a day but good horses took eachother on and not just at Cheltenham.Now good grounds unsafe theres too many races so they can all avoid eachother until Cheltenham mainly and its gone crazy now.The National is like a long distance hurdle race where the fences fall to bits,good ground is no longer safe to jump on,sun in the horses eyes turns races into glorified bumper races and nothing gets done about any of it,so who gives a toss who runs the BHA nothing ever changes.Oh apart from there changing 3 races at Cheltenham Festival also not done for the punters but for the bookies and making them more 20 plus runner handicaps.I wont be backing any horses in the 3 new handicap races,i like the odds in my favour.

@damonmoffatt8636 Totally agree. Just a side note here. Did horses in those years, ever wear sunglasses? Of course not. Now if the sun's out, they knock out nearly all the hurdles and it's nothing more than a glorified Bumper.

Yes, they knock out one of the best races in the two and a half mile chase to appease the bookies with more handicaps.

I had backed Fact Or File antepost last year a 14/1 in the Brown Advisary i didnt care come the day if there was just 6 runners and he was odds on.As you say only more 20 runner handicaps replacing graded races suits the bookies.They will find out the hard way though because if there was 6 runners in a Turners Chase somebody might be inclined to lump on something they fancied at a short price,they wont take loads of money on the new handicaps and certainly wont be getting any of mine.

Just to mention leaving a tractor running wouldn't have made any difference, you can't leave it running in gear!
