You treat a mule nice, it remembers that and usally will give you a hard days honest work ..tick one off or treat it bad..its just either going to kick or bite you, or just flat out lay down and NOT get up lol. I got a mule free..the guy said if i could get that"piece of sh er crap up and ride her down the road..she was mine..lets just say best dollar i spent to buy her. Pulled off her tack, put my halter on her , a handfull of sweet feed..she got up, i got a leg up and we ran down the road ..gave her some water .she took alot of work..( she was fearful) but i rode her more than i did my horse. Kindness counts lol

I'm also just luvin' that draft! Not that you are askin', but I love the huge ones! The taller the better for me. I had a few Percherons that were my fave to ride, my biggest pets! (had some Belgians that were saddle trained as well) Wishin' I had my farm right now. And I s'pose, wishin' I lived closer as well. You know, I thought I was strong. Really, . . . . probably have the same kind'a stories that you all have, maybe more, maybe less. But to have to see so much disregard, lack of compassion, care and heartlessness in just a few days. I just don't know how you continue some days. By continue, I mean to keep your spirits up to go onto the next, & on to the next, and the next, . . . . for all of those hours that you do & in just a few days! Do these people ever get charged for neglect? Is there anyway of knowing who to charge? You can't - but I have to stop the video at times, give myself a break and come back to continue. Massively "HUUUUUUGE HUGS" from deep within my heart to all of you! Thank Heavens for you all!

I always love the draft/draft crosses. My first horse that was all mine, not shared with family was a totally unhandled foal from a pmu farm. Most those foals get sent to slaughter pipeline. His only real interaction with people before I'd gotten him was traumatic to say the least. But the two of us bonded on such a deep level. He was a Morgan x Percheron. Such an intelligent, loving horse. Probably to smart for his own good lol. But like having 17hh puppy :') I had gotten him at ten and he was hands down the best horse I owned. I've had multiple horses. But Shadow was always the one I was closest to. Something about earning a horses trust and love on the level I had to with him is something profound. Though I also adore seeing the Arabians as I had an Egyptian Arabian. They really are super intelligent and sensitive.

I still have an indentation on the back of my leg. It used to be a perfect horseshoe print. I got it when a hunter/jumper I was riding bolted and decided (just as I thought he was stopping) to take a 5' gate. I came off first of course and he landed on me with a front hoof that was shod. I can definitely relate to your torn muscle, Tawnee. Thing is, mine fell right where it made sitting on the throne a sort of gymnastic endeavor. Kudos for all you do and congratulations on your growth as an organization.
