What Tawnee and Jason are doing in Washington DC is the most important thing that can be done for the horses🐎 . Altogether I've donated just under a hundred dollars hoping to help buy more booklets to get into the hands of our elected officals so they can make better informed decisions when it comes time to vote on related issues. Our horse heroes are doing so much l am forever grateful 🙏 they will make all the difference. ❤️

It's a shame that it has to take being a human health issue for some of these people to care. Never mind the abuse that goes along with it. They only care about humans. Thank you, Tawnee and Jason, for lobbying for the horses in DC. Let's hope it gets through to them and they do something about it. Great work from all the volunteers. That's awesome!
@stardust949
@stardust949 6 ай бұрын
Not to start a debate or anything---but be aware that when you make blanket statements such as "They only care about humans" that it's inaccurate. Plenty of people working as civil servants care about animals...and as for people---for the love of God, there is EXTREME suffering in our country by millions of human beings too! Sometimes, it is a "luxury" to be able to extend our compassion beyond our barest survival needs. I don't mean myself, personally---but here, in our country and in the world. I'm just saying---please Give Credit to all those people who have done so much on behalf of others, all Creatures Great and Small----including helping down and out people. Tawnee and Jason are NOT "the only ones" making a difference in this world. But, they are attempting something brave, to take it to the next level.

The chicken scavenger hunt 😂 How long did it take John to find them all? Athena‘s reunification with her family had me in tears! As well as the lady from the dog rescue picking up their former rescue. I just love ferrets! 😊 Very happy they got adopted. To see all of the school children volunteering and having so much fun - it makes my heart sing! And Tawnee is making history in Washington DC. I just wish the change can be made in the US - and one day all over the world!

Thank you Tawnee and Jason for your hard work and dedication to helping horses get out of the slaughter pipeline and doing all the hard work with your team at the facility the vets and people who feed them, train them help them feel loved and to every one at the shelter you are an amazing group of people with hearts of pure gold. Believing in Tawnee and Jason for believing in this cause, and not just helping the equines but other animals too. You are all amazing angels on the ground helping these horses and taking care of them. A lot of farm shelter jobs are very rewarding there is an end to the process and some businesses can not survive without the kindness of others who not only support these organizations but volunteer for them to help them out with chores that are a daily part of life in their business. I think it is a grand idea to introduce kids in school and request a volunteer day for schools in their area this was a brilliant idea so the kids can see some of the conditions some of these animals come to the shelter in. These young people could be the extra helping hand not just today but in the future. They get to see these animals first hand and even though it is an experience of working for a living but it also gives them a life lesson to to take care of the animals in their lives they do have feeling and they do feel pain and tolerate it far better than any human but to remind them this is actually happening in the real world our world. Thank you all so much for everything you do for these animals and thank you to all the volunteers that come to help out i hope they will continue to do this. What a wonderful lesson to learn and fun too. As for the politicians do they walk around with blinkers on it happens right under their noses and have they eaten horse meat because their life could be in danger especially if they keep eating it. I hope these people can stop being part of the bully gang and start making a difference for these animals Start being the solution to this problem that has been going on longer than 20 years. All animals deserve a second chance every horse out there every animal out there. Blood lines are being lost due to slaughter even very rare horses are heading for the slaughter pipeline and it needs to end now. Tawnee did you ever think you would be in Washington DC talking to politicians about this pandemic that is happening with the slaughter industry from the kill buyers to auction houses keeping animals in horrible condition without food and water in most cases for long periods of time in the weather with no protection. It is sickening to me how they have not been shut down just for violating the state laws on keeping animals. Then there is the bully club, also known as the good ol boys club, one hand washes the other, The what you see is not what you get club. Drugging horses so they move well in the sale ring is just bad business all around. I have been an avid supporter of Tawnee and Jason s philosophe on slaughter and the ethical treatment of an animal. i have been watching this channel a while now and when they were going to the auction house i was blown away by the condition of the animals in the auction pens horses that died in those pens and as for the idiot with a knife castrating a horse on sight and its intestines came out well he should be in jail over that one. No anesthesia with a knife he had in his pocket please that animal had to be put to sleep over that one. i watched that episode i cannot imagine the real life look that was that day that was a complete idiot. Castrations should only be performed by a Vet. maybe someone should castrate that guy in the same manner as he did to that horse cos Lord knows we don't need more of him running around its inhumane to do such a procedure on a horse with any kind of hernia. Doctor Lydia and her team had one of those today in the episode thankfully it was manageable because the horse was sedated and it was something that could be contained and repaired not like the other horse from the auction. This guy was still a young horse not quite weaned yet, but he should make a full recovery thanks to the Vets. Tawnee and Jason and your team at the facility volunteers and visitors to the facility you are amazing people i cannot say it enough but you are also getting rescues to help each other out which is something that had not been done before. you are giving animals the best chance in their lives by talking to each other you all have the same goal to help the animals so please continue talking to each other and helping each other reach the ultimate goal which is helping the animals and being the voice for them. Animals all have the same feelings and emotions as we do they feel pain they just don't writhe around in pain like humans do. They are intelligent animals with the will to please their owners they just want to be loved the same as humans do. I have loved horses of all shapes and sizes my entire life and i have rescued animals my whole life from rescues and from animals that were abandoned in a park a mumma cat and her litter of kittens I have rescue three of those animals including the mumma and two of her kittens i rescued a dog when i first left home because the people were about to leave them on the hill behind our tower block and abandon them there. Every animal i have rescued except one died in my arms or in his sleep even growing up we had rescued animals always dogs except for a Farrell cat who lived with us until we moved. then we didn't see him again. The horse that i had rescued died 8 months later due to a neurological episode and had to be put to sleep. He was put to sleep because he would have had no quality of life he was put to sleep before i had given permission to do so and without my consent and i was devastated. I cried for two days straight. they had even buried him before i got to him all i have left is some tail hair and some photos i took a few days before. Seeing horses in such bad condition is sickening to me and it boils my blood so what Tawnee and Jason has done in the last 20 years is remarkable so thank you all again but especially Tawnee at the age of 19 years old had her priorities in the right place and the heart to continue fighting for those who doesn't have a voice of their own and protecting people from their own ignorance on what they are eating. In the words of my friend on You Tube Kilee Rainbow If now one has told you today you are doing a wonderful job, keep up the great work you all are doing your Amazing.

I just loved watching the kids from the school. They all seemed to have a good time, and some are going to be repeat volunteers by the sounds of it. So important to have a relationship with the young elementary kids about what Horse Plus does and stands for. Getting to the young people is very important. These kids will be the adults running the show we you all at Horse Plus will be retired and sitting and watching them, at least some of them perhaps, run Horse Plus! You guys there are a light in the darkness, your vets are precious as well as all the staff., I am more than sure that the Lord blesses what you all do.

Poor Hoss..he was such a brave stoic draft..Elijah spotted it was more than an abcess and the xray spotted his fractured coffin bone..whether something could have been done at the time farrier/vet wise l don't know but it healed in a bad position and there was now nothing to be done..this beautiful boy would have been in awful pain all the time..safe passage over the 🌈 bridge sweet boy..Shine Bright big fella..Fly High 🌠🌃. On a much happier note how great was it to see Athena reunited with her previous owners where she'd been stolen from !! Those wounds she was found with were awful..saw in the last episode how big both wound were when Dr Lydia cleaned and stitched them..of course the people couldn't take her to the vet as she was chipped to her REAL owners!!.. she recognised her family straight away..how wonderful that reunion was..tears of pure happiness..😊.. those kids volunteering to come back in the summer..this is such a good way of getting youngsters into animal care..and Tawnee and Jason working hard in DC.. its amazing how many people including me yrs ago know nothing about the hideously poor treatment these horses are getting..it says a lot when that one straight off said I'm pro slaughter..UNTIL he was told that horse meat is now 'not safe' to consume.. the shelter is looked after and Tawnee and Jason are doing great work in DC..if they need to go every month, that's OK because only by making people see what is really happening is when things might start to change..Good luck..great work everyone..🇬🇧💕✝️🙏👏👍👏👍🐎🐎🐎🐎🐴🐴🐴🐈🐈‍⬛️🐾🐾🐕🐕🫏🫏🇺🇸

Have been a subscriber to this channel over a year. Just found out about your extra special vet channel. So im now just this past couple of minutes prior to this message subscribed to the vet channel. Thankyou for the work you do. From me.... Colt Stonewolfe from Steele Range Navajo Nations Horse Center in Florida and nee Second Home in Louisiana. In August we are doing a seres of open days for anyone who would love to see. Real Indian Ponies/Horses (Now called First Nations Working and Gaited Ranch Horses ... Yes we have Registration and a Stud Book!! Finally!!). We rescue and retrain our First Nations Horses. And other horses of Working and Ranch Breeds. (Appaloossa , AQHA , APHA , Paloose Ponies , Paint Horses, A Couole of Missouri Fox Trotters and a Couple of very elderly Arabs that ive had since they were yearlings and their both now 30 plus). My 2 mules. Jackie (she is 35 this year) and recently rescued Victory (she is 3). I would like to do more but im away alot with my other job.... A full time despite my age . Proffersional Wrestler. Horses helped me alot in my life. And stopped me from deciding ive had enough of the world for good. And have helped me with my physio and injury recouvery.... Horses are happy to walk with you all day to if you know them and the right horse knows you need them around. I tell people the horses arent my pets. As a First Nations Man.... They are my family. Our animals are our family. I hope one day i can get a chance and the time to apply to visit of volenteer at Horse Plus. Only thing is ill want to adopt every animal there and take it home with me. I love the ferrets. I have ferrets , pet rats , Pet snakes , pet New World Tarantula, pet lizards , a blind bearded dragon (she was born blind). And i see them all as family. My family also assist with helping animal rescues and county animal seizures. We have all the training and registrations. Thankyou for Reading. From Colt and the Family. Clearwater Florida , and Arc De Ruen Louisiana.

0tawney & Jason--- you look so poised & professional up there in Washington D.C. I'd be so nervous about talking to all those congresspeople but you guys look like you are taking it all in stride! I salute you & your passionate commitment to this very worthy cause. I also want to remind you to tell people how to find their representatives & senators & to contact them to voice their support for the SAFE act. I have heard that letters sent by mail are the best method to make an impact. Thanks for all you do!

Wow! Action-packed! From finding hidden chickens to walking corridors in DC. Well, well done to you all! Tawnee and Jason, you both look so smart in your office gear! These people have no idea the dichotomy of where you are. It PAINNNNZZZZZ me to hear someone say they are pro-slaughter! I want to weep! How can anyone be pro this cruelty! Flliipppp! They need to spend, even if it is just 5 minutes, in a slaughter house to see the SUFFERING that they are pro of! Shameful to the enth-degree. Makes my heart shatter into tiny pieces. What you two are doing WILL go down in history, for sure! You are PHENOMENAL, in every way. Thank you both and your FABULOUS team. YOU ALL ROCK x

It is crazy that you might not be in Washington if you hadn't been banned from Triple W. The work you're doing with lawmakers might be the most significant work you ever do, on a purely numeric level, to help horses across the US and probably in Canada and Mexico as well.

It looks like that poor horse that was castrated by a NON-Vet around the back of the Auction facility, may not have died in vain. HOPEFULLY all of your hard work Tawnee and Jason will pay off. THANK YOU for everything you do for Horses, and all the other Animals you rescue, shelter, and protect. Well done to the rest of the team too. You're ALL Amazing!
