GIRL UR GONNA GET SO MANY ROSETTES I JUST KNOW IT 😍😍 ANYWAYS THIS VLOG WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME AND IM GLAD YOU LOVED MR ROLO ❤️ He’s such a gorgeous boy with such a stunning rider, and omg I would love to come to your barn it just seems so fun ❤️ Today at riding we did some cantering in a group and it was so fun and I was on Tate but I kind of lost control and had to do half seat with absolute no idea of how to do it 🤣🤣 and then after cantering in a group we did trot and Pole excersices and he kept jumping into canter when I didn’t ask him to, he’s such a goofball 🤣🤣 love your videos btw and you’ve helped me sm! The only reason I could do half seat is from your vlogs and I learn so much from your videos ❤️ What a good boy Rolo and Tate were for us

Ahhh you did so well Clara!!! I’m so proud of you!! You’ve improved so much!! I can’t wait until you start showing in bigger classes!! You have been the one thing keeping me going when I was off for my 3 months!! You are always the highlight of my week!! I honestly can’t wait until I am back showing! My first jumping lesson went really well! I was a bit nervous but that was because all my falls that lead up to my bone bruise were over fences! I have another lesson tomorrow and I’m so excited!! First, you guys did very well. Obviously, because you placed 2nd and 3rd. But, watching this got me thinking (and by the way, I am not an equestrian. As much as I want to take lessons I have never taken one) - Horse shows are not a solo sport, it's a team sport. If you compete in swimming against other swimmers all you have to worry about is yourself. What mood you're in that day, your energy, clarity, nervousness, all that stuff. It's just you. But with horses it's a partnership and it's not just about how you're feeling, it's how the horse is feeling to. Your horse could be having an off day, so even if you're feeling keen your horse may not and that's okay because all athletes have these days. So, whenever you enter that show ring you have to be thinking about how you AND your horse are doing that day. And now that I think about it, it was probably very unnecessary for me to say all of that but, I was just thinking out loud. Because it finally just hit me. I guess that's how dense I am!

heyy I recently discovered your channel and I wanna say you are a really good rider!!! I am a relatively new rider and I recently just started to canter but I find it difficult to ask for it because I sort of lose my balance, if you or anyone has any tips on improving that I would really appreciate it! the thing is I don't struggle with sitting the canter, just the transition! wish you all the best!

Hey just wanted to drop some of the advice that’s helped me when I started to canter. If you can remind yourself to take a deep breath and let your weight drop through the back of your leg into your heels, you wont be as tense when going into the transition, which is usually the reason for loss of balance. It really just comes down to feeling relaxed going into it, and letting your body follow the movement of the horse more. Hope this helps and good luck in your riding journey, God bless you!

There was a pony at my old barn who would tug on my hands until they were raw. I finally got gloves after a while but he would not hold back on his tugging 😭😭

You should invest in some riding gloves! I used to ride a strong horse and the gloves helped me keep grip on the reins and stopped my hands from hurting.

Hi Clara! I have a few questions. I've been riding for 2.5 years and I went to a barn that didn't correct any of my bad habits so I don't know some stuff. I have my first lesson in 2 days at my new stable but I'm a little confused on when to go into my jumping position when going up to a jump do you have any tips that could help?
