You’re a strong man, this would have ruined my whole month and then some. At least it was quick but still, a noble animal taken in an instant and for seemingly no good reason. A farmer can’t cry over every animal but horses are almost a different category in this context. Rest easy mr horse :(

I grew up on a farm, and I remember taking the 3 wheeler down with my grandpa to chain a herd of cattle that got killed by lightning. Smelled like BBQ, burnt hair, and death. Never forget that.

When i was a kid we were hanging out and one boy came screaming from two blocks away waving his hands. He signaled us to run towards him and there we went. He told us a horse was stuck by lightning couple blocks from there so we went running at full speed. It was a white mare, it was really rigid so probably was struck a couple hours ago. It was quite the event for a group of kids. Por thing was still tied to the ground it was grazing.
