MuseChick I am a horse rider and I think they did pretty well, they were relaxed and so were the horses. Louis has such a nice manner interacting with animals.

In South Africa, the nature reserves are picked carefully. However we have many established already. The nature reserves normally will have natural water holes that the animals travel to or if it is a must for the animals survivals a man made dam will be placed in. The Lion would travel to water if thirsty, the nature reserves cannot intervene with the nature. I don't know if that clears your conscious but i hope it does :)

are you saying that because they're panting so much? if so, it's not because they're thirsty! you see, loins can't sweat, (only through their soles) so they need another way to cool off, which is panting! it's totally normal for them to pant. :) i don't know if that made much sense, english isn't my native language.

LOUIS!! if you want to go to a big cat sanctuary, go to AfriCat in Namibia. I went there with my school for 3 and a half weeks and it was amazing. They raise biggest who were previously kept in houses and also work with the local people to stop them killing the animals. It was amazing, especially a walking safari with cheetahs !

Fun tip for sunburns! They will carry on burning deeper even if you go inside, so after you get out of the sun splash cold water on your sunburn to keep it mild. It's just like submerging pasta in cold water to keep it from overcooking! Happy new year.

There's a big cat sanctuary in Mossel Bay, about 3 hours from Cape Town. It's really cool, the cubs sleep in the owners beds and everything. Check it out on your way to knysna!

If you're looking for more places to go, the boundary waters in Minnesota, usa are absolutely beautiful. Most of the area you can only travel through canoe. A great camping spot!

Me and my mum and 2 sisters own a stables, which looks after 17 horses. 2 are mine, Angel (an Arabian) and Rocky (a thoroughbred). I'm 12 and it's a 1 hour drive to school😪

I know that's where they live but I feel so bad for the animals. They all look sick, fat, or dying of heatstroke. Basically California in the summer haha. One time I went on a safari and saw two teenage boy lions. They just hung out beside our vehicle and wrestled with each other. It was so cute!

I agree with you however in this case those animals aren't working. They are being protected and there is likely enough food and water for them because those types of preserves are picked carefully. Also, those places need to make money in order to keep themselves going and continue to protect the animals, so tours through the preserve is the easiest way to do that. It is also likely the most educational way because Louis said himself that he learned a lot about endangered animals while on the tour. I'm not trying to be disrespectful in any way; I just hope that you know these kinds of places are trying to help the animals, not hurt them.
