@@rob6490 Unfortunately not, this one is specifically the first version of each, while the second ones are "Logan, The Wolverine" and "Sabertooth, Apex Predator".

One thing I did see is that for the Ultimate Encounter there isn't a restriction on who can be a horsemen which is crazy.

The one part of all of this that isn't clear (at least to me) is how do the Horseman cards affect your card choices? Do they take up 5 slots or are they basically bonus cards?

Bonus cards! You get them from the leadership, so unlike existing tactics cards or infinity stones, they don't even get included in your roster, you decide when you select leadership (after deployment)

I'm coming down on how worried about it I was initially, the health pool is small enough that he's reasonably killable, and his mobility is mostly manageable by a Bill or similar control piece.

I think Apocalypse and his horsemen are really interesting. I am honestly surprised that Cassandra Nova was on the list as a horseman, I think running her as Famine makes her a mini space Maw which is kinda scary. I am looking forward to getting some games in with this affiliation!

@ZetroxWargaming hell yes! I'm incredibly excited and happy about them coming out with apocalypse. Back when I started getting into crisis protocol I kept saying they really needed to do apocalypse and have a full ultimate encounter for him and I have to say I am not the least bit disappointed

I am somewhat dissapointed... from a lore perspective. Hulk would have been hilarious. But I understand. I don't get Deadpool being on the list. I don't understand why we get Cassandra Nova, it should have been Chuck and the Chuck mobile (professor x) Missing out on storm kinda bums me out. Magik is an odd choice as well. What would be funny follow up is if they toss Sunspot on the list and just dunk on sunfire. From a game play perspective, should be interesting. My big question mark at the moment, who is going to be the king of death. I am kinda hoping it just fixes Gambit.

@@MadMax-el2el Would be very nice if it fixed Gambit, unfortunately I have a worry that this is just gonna end up being a list of 50% models that get played, 50% that weren't good before and aren't now, but we'll see, I'd love to be wrong. Definitely some misses on the lore side, but hopefully interesting choices for gameplay.

Honestly my eyes are on November, monsters unleashed and Mephisto. I never thought we would see the monsters and they are almost here. I will just be happy getting to put monsters on the table, good, bad or indifferent. I don't care, j sill be giddy. My black order is about to get tossed in the display case... again. Ahh the days of free-range gems, that was ugly. My only trepidation currently is vampire thralls. I really hope they don't just hellfire club the faction. I want something more than just take the best things and a buff bonus.

If you look carefully you will notice that none of the leadership bearing characters are on that list. Probably intentional. I was irritated to see cassandra, toad, & HB instead of pyro, juggernaut, & sabertooth.

AMG made him stronger than Thanos as 6 threat except with better support team and stats. How typical so they can sell more stuff. 😂😂😂

Is it just me or does famine seems really underpowered? The others are really strong.

@@joshuaarseneault1191 If famine works the way I think it will, where you can do the gamma leap part whether there's a target for the first part or not, I think it's the strongest ability here, 2 cost gamma leap is incredibly valuable on so many different characters. The first part just kinda becomes an extra bonus. As far as generating tokens for the leadership though, it's definitely on the lower end, but very consistent which is good.

I was being a bit obtuse. Yes, I was referring to the tokens. the body slide isn't too bad especially since the tokens can pay for the cost. HOWEVER, the famine character won't be fairly contributing to the pool of tokens and will be a drain if used like that.

It clearly says up to 1 meaning you can chose 0 and still get the leap.

There's been a lot of debate on that one from discussion I've seen because of how some similar abilities function, but I'm in agreement that it should work.
