I put Por15 on the underside of my enclosed trailer a couple years ago and it’s mint. I also did the back end of my frame on the truck and the whole underside of the box when I had it off. Good stuff 👌🏻 Can’t wait to get my injectors off of you guys! I’ll soon be calling ya!

I will never buy a fass pump again! Bought a replacement pump off them, it shit the bed in like 2 weeks (it happens) tried countless times to get ahold of them with no response at all so I bought an air dog, she’s been smooth sailing ever since! Any questions I’ve had, they reply to emails quickly and seem happy to do so. They have a forever customer now💯

I installed a 150 for my buddy, he drives gravel road a lot so I tucked it as high as I could and put a chuck of old conveyor belt infront of it to block it from getting peppered, after all that his only response was “you can’t even see the filters” 🤦🏻‍♂️ so we dropped it, been about 2 years and the pumped looks horrible

Tech support at fluid damper said this is a known problem . They offer a spacer for the fan (IIRC 1/8") . I had already made an 1/8" spacer and replaced the clutch before calling tech support, even got both early and late 1st gen to compare fitment. The spacer gave the needed room. However due to the tight clearance the fan blades would aerodynamically stall ( flow is runt because nowhere for the air to go) causing the blade to stop pulling on the bottom. Picture a pulling the stick in a heli. The solution was to run the spacer and pull out some of the pitch from the blades evenly and gust enough to stop the contact under load

All 1st gens need sub frame massaging when installing a 4 core aluminum radiator. It sucks. The first alum radiator in my 91 was a 3 core aluminum off ebay. It lived 7 years before cracking on the tank. Now on my second ebay aluminum radiator. If you buy a mishimoto, have your heck checked.

Is your lift pump pressure 12-14psi?
@stevenmiller3330
@stevenmiller3330 Жыл бұрын
@@horsetorquesdiesel yea somewhere in there maybe 16 psi. Mine also surge's with OD off if I just try to cruise with higher RPM. As soon as I give It throttle it stops but if I cruise with light throttle it bucks around in sync with the rail pressure gauge jumping around. I believe just a 12mm pump tuning issue.

Hi Josh big fan here! I absolutely love diesels and Cummins is by far my favorite. I have a question though, why is the 6.4 Cummins so popular over a 5.9 or 6.7?? Also what are the different ways to get to that displacement? What are the pro’s and con’s of the 6.4?

@adrianmilissa9271
@adrianmilissa9271 Жыл бұрын
@@horsetorquesdiesel So you get better flow with the AD pumps? Do they offer better water separation as well? I currently have a 3micron fuel filter on my 05 just after the stock filter. So if I went fleece all that would stay. But, if I go air dog I could delete all of that. I am trying to do all this in the proper steps. I did injectors (stage 1 BBI) so my next move I think is to upgrade the fuel delivery. Then studs and turbo. Is that a good plan?
@horsetorquesdiesel
@horsetorquesdiesel Жыл бұрын
@@adrianmilissa9271 the airdog is available in many sizes the fleece is just one. The exterior lift pumps do offer more water separation but it’s the same micron filter

The A1000 style log pumps are great. In my experience they last way longer than the Fass and air dog pumps. I have several trucks over 100Kmiles with them and a couple over 300K. I see very few Fass or Air dog make it 100K. Be careful what your goals are as to what pump you get as the 11101 I would say is good to 800rwhp, the 11104 to 1200 and the 11102 to 1500. This is for P-pumps trying to maintain 60+psi probably could support a lot more on a common rail since I don't think they need near as much fuel pressure. I don't have enough experience with their brushless lineup to know how they hold up.

I 2nd the Fluidfilm. You can reapply whenever you add new equipment of find a bare spot. You can steam Jenny the film off if you need to do major work. Por 15 is probably great if your sandblasting each individual part. I used it on a fertilizer spreader chassis repair. The rusty erea is holding up, but on the places with good paint is peeling.
