Thanks for uploading. I had the good fortune to hear Horszowski perform at Curtis around 1980-82. I think he was 90 at the time. I wish I could remember what he played, but I do remember the audience being absolutely silent, mesmerized.

Played with clarity and intelligence, at sane tempos. I was particularly taken with the very detached approach to the minuet. I love the photo - maybe taken in America given that make of the piano (?)

I loved the beautiful shaping & phrasing in the Allemande. The Gigue was a bit of a mess though... this movement must be technically the most challenging in the complete set of 6 Partitas, with these devilish trills in the second half!

There's no connection between the photo and the recording. I think it's very unlikely that a Rome radio studio in 1958 would have such an instrument.

Что подарила мне музыка Баха и её исполнение? Первые три пьесы вызвали во мне ощущения детства- так светел мир вокруг,какой простор… Сарабанда подарила красоту и нежность,и успокоение-мол,все будет хорошо. В пятой пьесе,я услышала речь,будто кто-то внушает ребёнку правила,как следует себя вести. Ну ,а две последние пьесы я назвала (про себя)-давайте потанцуем! Ну,а все вместе: Милый БАХ-улыбается! Спасибо ему и Замечательному МУЗЫКАНТУ-все это исполнившему! И Вам-тоже!
